Farage inciting hate and division - Hos much longer do we have to endure this hideous individual?

1000 replies

Safi7 · 05/08/2024 00:31

So Farage now has a video statement on Twitter claiming that the current rioting is “nothing in comparison to what is to come.”

Anyone else hearing reverberations of Enoch Powell’s ‘rivers of blood’ speech back in the 70s?

He is also, ‘just putting it out there’ that the police and authorities are ‘withholding the truth’ - ie. insinuating that the murderer in the Southport tragedy was actually acting on behalf of a wider terrorist network and this is being hushed.

If this isn’t inciting fear, paranoia, violence and division, I don’t know what is!

I notice he’s gone very quiet about his pathetic accusation that Channel 4 tried to set-up Reform by somehow planting an ‘actor’ to trundle around Clacton spouting racist filth.

No Nigel, you know full well who that campaigner was - and the other Reform campaigners in Clacton caught on camera with their hate speech. These are your people.

I cannot abide this man. The damage he had caused to the U.K. I have been abroad this last month and don’t want to come back. Years and years he’s been provoking hate. He has ruined the country with Brexit - but he always has someone else to blame. I don’t think I’ve ever despised a U.K. politician so much. How much longer do we have to tolerate this?

Actually Farage is talking a lot of sense and condemned the violence, from speaking to literally hundreds of people today whilst filming the only person stoking up any tesions is Kier and his bloody arrogant press conferences. It's been like a red rag to a bull.

The most pathetic prime minister this country has ever seen, he truly is ignorant and blind to what is actually going on and why people are so angry. Sitting in his little ivory tower in his london bubble he really is clueless.

Blame farage all you like but your looking in the wrong place. but then again it's like the blind leading the blind.

Edited

If you can't see Farage for what he is, then you don't want to and YOU are the one with the problem. Starmer is not weak: he has only been in power a month, which you seem to find it convenient to forgot.

I know he was a toolmaker. I know Starmer was once a civil servant. We've all been told ad infinitum. It's time to move on.

What - erase his history? The history that's the truth?

Why?

You'd want an accountant with a history of making someone's money working for them.

You'd want a tradesman with history of fixing something that works for a long time, or stands the seeds of time or that fits what you've asked for.

You'd want a gardener with history of planting things that live and thrive in the environment they are working in.

Why wouldn't we want a PM who has history of working in public disorder to solve public disorder.

Got to be better than a PM with a proven history of being sacked for lying - seemingly surprising an electorate when they ate caught lying.

What do you mean by “you lot”

Are you doing a Keir and calling everyone who doesn’t agree with them Racist Thugs

Sometimes you have to analyse a situation and see beyond each incident in isolation.

It doesn’t take a genius to state that things will get worse, that there will be more rioting, more looting, more racial attacks.

The country has been a tinderbox just waiting for a spark to set it off which came from a 17 year old with immigrant parents

This isn’t a Tory problem it is a Labour problem. Labour who were supposed to calm everyone down, do great things and everything would be brilliant when they came to power have just done the opposite and poured petrol on the already burning tinderbox

Whilst the protests in Southport might have started with the children being murdered, the riots took hold because of the general lack of support people have been feeling

Instead of calming the situation Keir Starmer makes a speech calling everyone who doesn’t agree with him Far right thugs.

It puts me in mind of Gordon Brown calling the woman who asked a perfectly relevant question a bigot

It just shows how out of touch with the country he is.

How deaf and blind and arrogant do you have to be to not understand what is really going on.

beguilingeyes · 05/08/2024 10:37

Farage is an MP now, he's not just some rabble rouser shouting from the sidelines like Fox and Yaxley-Lennon. He should be held more rigorously to account...if he ever turns up for work.

I was proud too.

Agree about Ely. Also, look at the valleys, there is a lot of poverty there with many people feeling left behind and sometimes there is trouble, but they haven't gone on the rampage.

I grew up in south wales valleys. Horrific, generational poverty and trauma manifesting in chronic illness, disease of addiction and domestic violence.

The legacy of Thatcher's destruction of British Industry.

THESE are the people that the new Labour Govt needs to 'listen to' and invest in. Not Kev and Darren from Kent who have plenty but fancied a ruck because they're racist.

Farage is a poundland trump - half truths and insinuations so he can deflect any blame when his veiled comments have consequences.

he doesnt care about Clacton or the lower class people who seem to eat up his hateful rhetoric.

He didn't call them thugs.

This is what Starmer actually said after Southport: "A response both to the immediate challenge. Which is clearly driven by far-right hatred. But also - all violent disorder that flares up. Whatever the apparent cause or motivation – we make no distinction. Crime is crime".

Where does Starmer say that people who don't agree with him are racist thugs? You are making rubbish up. This is what he said:

I utterly condemn the far-right thuggery we have seen this weekend.
Be in no doubt: those who have participated in this violence will face the full force of the law.
The police will be making arrests.
Individuals will be held on remand.
Charges will follow. And convictions will follow.
I guarantee you will regret taking part in this disorder.
Whether directly or those whipping up this action online, and then running away themselves.
This is not protest. It is organised, violent thuggery.
And it has no place on our street or online.
Right now, there are attacks happening on a hotel in Rotherham.
Marauding gangs intent on law breaking. Or worse.
Windows smashed.
Fires set ablaze.
Residents and staff in absolute fear.
There is no justification – none – for taking this action.
And all right-minded people should be condemning this sort of violence.
People in this country have a right to be safe.
And yet, we’ve seen Muslim communities targeted.
Attacks on Mosques.
Other minority communities singled out.
Nazi salutes in the street.
Attacks on the police.
Wanton violence alongside racist rhetoric.
So, no, I won’t shy away from calling this what it is:
Far-right thuggery.
To those who feel targeted because of the colour of your skin…
Or your faith…
I know how frightening this must be.
I want you to know this violent mob do not represent our country.
And we will bring them to justice.
Our police deserve our support, as they tackle any and all violent disorder that flares up.
Whatever the apparent cause or motivation we make no distinction.
Crime is crime.
And this government will tackle it.
Thank you.

Prawncow · 05/08/2024 10:41

I totally agree with you OP. If you want to see where this leads look at America. There have always been ways to present facts to support your point of view but when objective facts are tossed out the window and elected politicians stoke conspiracy theories you get things like the attack on the Capitol.

Farage should be suspended from parliament for this behaviour.

Everyone on every point of the political spectrum needs to pray/hope that the Conservative Party doesn’t lean in to this. That’s what happened with the Republicans in the US with Trump. They jumped on the bandwagon because he could deliver electoral success and gave validity to some utterly insane people. They now have people like Marjorie Taylor Greene representing them - a conspiracy theorist.

If you can't see Farage for what he is, then you don't want to and YOU are the one with the problem. Starmer is not weak: he has only been in power a month, which you seem to find it convenient to forgot.

Oh boo hoo, The claims he's only been in power 4 weeks is worse. It didn't stop the left blaming Truss who was in for even less time 😂.

Lets face it most of you are only pissed off because the land of unicorns and Rainbows under liebor have already turned into piles of shit and bonfires.

Ignore the populace and the city will burn, Kier seems to forget he works for all of us not just the minorities. As for people claiming he had a landslide, the lowest turnout in 20 years and only 30% of the vote.

Kier Starmer and this weak government are a shit stirring joke, blame Farage all you want as you don't like him but he is not the Issue. The left seem to be good at telling those they disagree with how they think and act, fact they don't have a clue as they are so far up their own arse.

I think the fear might be that Starmer, who is painted as some sort of human rights leftie soft lawyer is not like that. That he might be a lot tougher than he appears. He has a lot of power. And honesty he is not using it all, yet.
