to say women don't have XY chromosomes?

taylorswift1989 · 03/08/2024 11:55

Seeing a lot of posts on social media with people admitting they were "wrong" to call Imane Khelif a man, and that they now understand "she's a woman with XY chromosomes."

Am I going insane? A person with XY chromosomes is male! (Regardless of how they identify, of course.) Why are people saying stuff that is obviously nonsensical? Are people really that ignorant of basic biological facts?

He won

Nobody could see that coming.

This thread is an interesting read. A few very sweet hapless champions for the underdog, despite in this case the underdog being someone with male advantages punching a woman, and one or two very patient and persistent people who know exactly what they are saying, determinedly arguing against the evidence under their noses.

Thank you to the equally persistent, well informed women posting sense today.

Why do people keep saying this as if it matters? Exceptional female athletes can beat mediocre male ones. But they almost never beat male athletes who rank as well among males as they do among females and on the rare occasions that they do, something is usually up - not necessarily anything illegal but something that stopped it from being standard. The top women can beat the shit men. That doesn't disprove male advantage and it doesn't mean women's sports should be given to shit men.

What so reach isn't important then? He punched Angela hard enough for her to concede, he's a cheat and I don't give a fuck what he's known for, he svould be known for being a cheating bastard who took opportunities away from women!

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 03/08/2024 16:49

Can I just check…. If those men actually do have cocks in their shorts does that still make them women?

littlbrowndog · 03/08/2024 16:49

Yes. Amori upset at end of 2 nd round

Thatcat · 03/08/2024 16:49

There is nothing, literally nothing anywhere, which points towards a test which says Khelif has an XY chromosome. Nothing. It’s a made up assumption.

Khelif is not new to this sport. She’s been around for a long time. No one notices her when she loses a match. But when she wins… “MAN! It’s a MANNNN!”

So many assumptions have been made of this poor woman based on her appearance. Not scientific reports.
Surveying her body and clothing for anything considered out of a very small box what a woman should look, move, act and perform like plays right into the hands of misogyny. The male gaze of how a woman should be.

Why aren’t there multiple threads about people participating in the Olympics who have caused ACTUAL harm to females. Like that man who actually raped a 12 year old girl? Where’s the energy and outrage for that?

There’s an epidemic of male on female violence. Men get away with it every single day. Men don’t need to masquerade as a woman and train for the Olympics to make that happen.

Leave Khelif alone.

Gladtobeout · 03/08/2024 16:49

There are a million reasons why people cannot compete in top-level sport. Having the wrong sex chromosomes is just one of many. Tough luck! I'd love to be an olympic gymnast but my hypermobility meant sport was very painful for any length of time. Is that discrimination? Or just life?

Marblessolveeverything · 03/08/2024 16:40

Excuse me how dare you accuse me of gas lighting and then literally you go on to do it.

I am disgusted to live in a society where hypothetical situations are thrown at people when bullies are trying to provide justification for their sick ignorant comments. There is a human being individual being discussed like a hypothetical social exam question.

Shame on you, a person with a medical condition being discriminated against. Hopefully the future generations will do better.

No shame on YOU. You disgust me. Pontificating about complex medical conditions you barely understand and trying to twist yourself inside out to justfify Men selling out E
womens sports and abusing women. I sincerely hope you're not a female yourself as women selling out their own sex class to claim pathetic woke points from abusive men are the worse.

Yes, they are being beaten. They are not that good even despite their clear physical advantage.

Great that you are pointing it out.

However, it is flawed logic for inclusion into a protected sports category. A mediocre male athlete with male puberty advantage should not be included in the female sports category just because they don't win.

It absolutely does not also prove that they don't have competitive advantages. And by that I mean physical advantages that are available to no female athlete.

Is it not unfair to the XX woman who lacks the help XY testosterone brings?

XY should be fighting XY .

She was born with a vagina when did we start checking dna of competitors ?

Edited

There we go again. The achievements of top Female Olympic athletes reduced to the level of “shit men”.

its enough to evoke feelings of gender dysphoria in the most cis of women.

All women deserve better than this 😢

Why the obsession with vaginas???
If you had to identify females by a single body part, it would be ovaries, not vaginas.

Exactly, even our very own India Willoughby has a vagina AND a cervix. Well, India says they have, though no one took them up on the offer to show them!🤔

Are we checking vaginas now? I wonder who gets that job!

oh wait, we aren’t. The two world/international Boxing Associations checked genetics, perhaps due to noticing a problem. And they noticed that these two boxers aren’t eligible to fight as women.

But obviously that’s just because they are, erm, gosh, I’m not sure. Why aren’t they eligible to fight as women?

It's such completely arse about face reasoning that it would make you laugh if women weren't having their careers and skulls broken over it.

taylorswift1989 · 03/08/2024 16:54

Look at his arms ffs. No woman's arms look like that. Even the most muscled women don't have arms that look like his - the distribution of muscle is completely different.

Seeing pictures of this obvious man on facebook next to text saying "this is a WOMAN" is the most gaslighty thing I've ever seen in my life.

Sorry, went off topic on my own thread. But wtf.

Bullshit.

Firstly there's been several threads on the Dutch rapist.

Secondly there's plenty of evidence Khelif is male. Look at the picture above from the Telegraph and tell yourself your eyes are lying if it makes you feel better.

This is MVAW.
