It's also really creepy that he specifically told you her age. Even if his story is true, he could have left that detail out. flight didn't seem to be as full then, it wasn't unusual to book 2 seats in the best of three & find no one had booked the 3rd seat. Quite a few flights I ended up with the 3/4 seats to myself.
