We have just seen a man break a woman's nose on live international tv, because a lot of stupid people were busily wanking on about sometimes men aren't really that mannish and should be allowed special exemptions to hurt women that other men aren't permitted. It's not difficult for transgender athletes. They can lobby & demand sections for transgender competitors or they can compete in their birth sex category.

The IBA changed their policy and that excluded these male athletes last year. However, the IOC changed their policy to stop sex testing in the late 90s to allow male people who were 'assigned female at birth' to compete as female.

Why? Because of purely emotional reasoning based on philosophical principles that guide inclusion.

They don't just forfeit the match, they are dropped by their sponsors (which is how most sports people are able to fund their careers, boxing at the Olympics is strictly amateur so they can't earn prize money so need another source of income), they are hounded and threatened and doxxed.

If someone is a woman there is no reason why they shouldn't be eligible to compete in women's sporting categories.
