To not want to see t*ts on the beach??!

TittiesOutPutThemBack · 30/07/2024 12:34

Just that really!

on holiday at the mo and I cant even count the number of times I have seen topless women sunbathing at the beach… next to kids!…on non-nudist beach!

I really don’t want to see titties out in the middle of the day

on top of that I don’t fancy my teenage boys or even my DH having a look at them either

its obvious they’re coming from certain European countries ! Do they have no sense of what’s right or wrong ?

AIBU?

0/10 for effort, OP

HA HA HA! TITSA!

They can take them out all they want

my Issue is where they are doing it
i am sure there are nudists areas where I am, there are definitely some more isolated areas

wtf does this happen in a very public and full of families area

they don’t need to do this to prove a point, and I don’t need to accept it. Breasts are private otherwise we d all take them out in the office too!

I don’t want to see someone else private bits !

Out of interest, what are you wearing, a bikini I assume?

And is that something you would wear to the office? Would you even wear a very short skirt or a belly top to the office/ out in public?

DiscoDragon · 30/07/2024 13:23

I saw a willy on the beach at Tintagel once! I was about 13/14, just innocently sitting there reading my book when a German chap came out of the sea and started chatting to my parents, as he did so he removed his trunks and started drying his meat and two veg still chatting away. I wasn't traumatised, it was pretty funny to be honest my stepdad didn't know where to look!

ElaineMBenes · 30/07/2024 13:23

Don’t know what you’re on about - go ask MN to check my IP as well as my history

I just couldn't believe someone would actually travel to another country and then complain about having it's culture 'forced' upon them.

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 30/07/2024 13:22

Because sainsburys have rules on both men and women wearing a top inside their store.

And it would be fucking freezing standing next to the chicken nuggets and frozen peas.

AllyCart · 30/07/2024 13:23

...they’re forcing their “culture” on me

Instead, you want to force your culture on them?

Very, very dangerous ground to decide your culture trumps others.

Poor show, OP.

Okay…a typical high street then?

You're definitely a sweaty troll sitting in your dark bedroom getting off on everyone talking about TITTIES.

Particularly when that 'culture' is just some women enjoying the sunshine on a beach.

saveforthat · 30/07/2024 13:24

I was just thinking the other day that when I was young nearly everyone went topless including me and noone batted an eyelid. I don't now because I don't want to. Happy for others to though.

ComealongMartha · 30/07/2024 13:24

FantasticFox27 · 30/07/2024 13:26

I don't sunbathe topless now, but did when I was younger. I wanted an all over tan and it was completely acceptable practice in the place I was (I.e. foreign holiday on the beach or by the pool). I would wear a top to walk around but wouldn't care if someone else didn't. Your shaming of women is somewhat hysterical OP, it screams of the Simpsons' Helen Lovejoy 'won't somebody think of the children!'. It's a complete non issue. Comparing men's genitalia to womens breasts is ridiculous, they are not even remotely in the same ball park. Why is it you consider womens breasts private but mens breasts as a non issue?? And to answer a question, no I don't get my breasts out at the office, just as I don't think it's appropriate for my male colleagues to get theirs out in the same environment. Again, they are not remotely the same comparison and goes to show that your 'argument' is completely clutching at straws

CowGirl19 · 30/07/2024 13:26

Seaglassandchampagne · 30/07/2024 12:39

They're literally just breasts, there is no need for drama. You can choose not to stare if they bother you.

You can also use it as an opportunity to teach your sons 1) not to ogle women and 2) that different parts of the world have different customs and attitudes to nudity, and that if it offends you it is your responsibility to only travel to places where the prevailing attitude is line with your own, rather than making sweeping and judgmental statements about people behaving in line with the customs of the country they are in.

Absolutely this! @TittiesOutPutThemBack It's just a normal part of a women's body FFS.

Personally if I had the confidence I'd love to sun bathe topless - just because why not? I just don't have the confidence though so I kind of admire the women who do.

RisingSunn · 30/07/2024 13:23

Okay…a typical high street then?

Because being on a beach, has different social norms, as do saunas, spas etc.
You do not see many people on a beach wearing workwear..

I have walked down a road in Spain in a just covering my nipples bikini and so do others.

How often do you see a man walking topless down the street, do you not see the double standards.

Actually I have got my breasts out in Sainsburys when I was breast feeding and the top was not designed for breast feeding so out it came.

RedPoster · 30/07/2024 13:27

YABVU.

And also ignorant of other cultures.

AllThePotatoesAreSinging · 30/07/2024 13:27

RisingSunn · 30/07/2024 13:12

I am of the view breasts are part of what I call “private” parts.

So if someone purposely touched my elbow without consent. No crime. But if someone touched my breast. Crime.

So no, I don’t really want to see other people’s private parts on holiday.

And I wouldn’t be comfortable if my girls were walking topless in front of their dad or uncles on holiday.

Let’s be real.

Why wouldn’t you be comfortable with them being topless in front of their male relatives? That probably says more about the men…

LuckySantangelo35 · 30/07/2024 13:27

@TittiesOutPutThemBack

why are you so uptight op?

whirlyhead · 30/07/2024 13:27

If there were no topless women in the beach then my partner and I wouldn’t be able to indulge in our favourite game of “spot the fake tits” which has led to some great arguments in the past (I’m way better at spotting boob jobs than him - comes from growing up in Cheshire!)

stop spoiling my fun!

SocksAndTheCity · 30/07/2024 13:28

You sound absolutely fucking barking.

feelingalittlehorse · 30/07/2024 13:28

Lost me at “titties” tbh
