They'll be ok. There will always be noisy hardcore people on either end of the political spectrum but a lot of it is just noise. The vast majority of Americans will just want to get on with the business of living rather than go and fight.

The shift to extreme left and right parties is a common occurrence when wealth disparity is at extremes. It’s happening across Europe. Not surprising. Civil war? A bit extreme. America is booming at the moment having a much better growth and prosperity than Uk. I think we have more to worried about here.

It was a riot. There are plenty of those in the US. Unlike BLM riots they didn’t burn stuff down.

Democracies are bought and paid for lobbyists and interest groups.

Political corruption is rampant. Iraq, the financial crash, Covid to name just a few in the last few years.

Trump is not some outsider or villain or a hero, for that matter. He’s just part of the system, like all other western politicians.

Name one thing that Trump did that led to instability in the US. Or one thing that Biden has done that is any better. Outside of the usual culture wars.
