@NRTFT I think you've nailed it here.
it seems to be an attachment problem English people have. Perhaps English people just don't have the social skills to get on with other humans properly?
Those who resist any points made about the scourge of dogs in the community and who constantly fill the Bingo card with "irresponsible owners, not the dog's fault" must be in dire need of human contact to see how irrational it is to never see the blight that the "dogs allowed everywhere" groups support.
I am in constant pain due to being knocked over by a dog in the local park. Then all the other dogs came over to see how I was, it was terribly frightening, all off lead of course in a walkers area, when the dog run was 500metres away. Oh no, not good enough, the dog must be in the middle of humans without dogs, of course, it's their right. I defy anyone to convince me that dogs in parks, restaurants, shops and god knows where is good for anyone apart from those who may not be able to forge normal relationships with humans and see humans as superior beings to dogs.
Working dogs on farms, in the Customs/Drug enforcement areas, for the blind, and other genuine assistance requirements etc. are all that are needed. Fully trained and do a job. Great. Dogs were not made for urban environments, there are far too many people there as it is, not to mind adding every species of dog to the mix aswell.
Off to take my painkillers now. Again.
