Take your fxxking dog poo home

I’ve just run 5k. Bagged up dog poo everywhere. On pavements. Grass verges. Next to half empty dog poo bins. 3 on the pavement next to Sainsbury’s alone.

Bins everywhere that could be used but weren’t.

Obviously it isn’t MN users doing this, it never is 🤦🏻‍♀️.

If you’re bagging up the poo, take the bag 100 yards to a bin and use it, you lazy fekker.

Yes yes yes...lazy sods

MrsGhastlyCrumb · 26/06/2024 07:39

My personal 'favourite' is when you find trees festooned with bags of shit like some kind of anti-Christmas tree. Ugh.

Ellie1015 · 26/06/2024 07:41

I can't understand it, they have done the more horrible bit of bagging it why go to the effort then not take it to the bin??? So annoying.

CantDealwithChristmas · 26/06/2024 07:55

LOL I also did a 5k run this morning, with my dog, and yes bagged the poo and put it in one of the bins in the park.

I agree there's no excuse, as long as you buy sturdy bags with handles then you can secure the poo well enough that you can carry it perfectly hygienically, I've even run with mine! In fact in the darker winter months I've even brandished the bag of poo to deter suspicious looking men who hove into view on the path in front of me. You might think twice about mugging if you think you're gonna get a face of dog shit 😂

GettingAwayFromYou · 26/06/2024 07:59

Urgh, dog people are awful. Selfish on so many levels.

Fully agree.

ShrinkingEveryDay · 26/06/2024 08:03

We went on a walk on Sunday early in the morning and the paths were covered in unbagged shit - I suspect an awful lot of dog owners simply don’t bother to even bag it when there’s no one around to see them 🤬

VolvoFan · 26/06/2024 08:05

YANBU. It's disgusting. At this rate I'm in half a mind to bag up the poop and put it through their letterbox. Filthy people.

HairyChin · 26/06/2024 08:06

It’s fucking disgusting. Makes me mad. Even unbagged shit : giant dog turds on grass verges and along by the canal where we live.

Selfish lazy bastards.

It is scary, isn't it.

How society can evolve so quickly to a stage where people aren't afraid of public shaming, or harming others, because they don't even feel connected to others, or have a healthy fear of their place in society.

I just couldn't let my dog foul a public place, and feel comfortable or happy that a child or vulnerable adult could slip or fall in it, become infected etc.

Roselilly36 · 26/06/2024 08:09

Makes me really cross too, so bloody lazy and selfish.

JacquesHarlow · 26/06/2024 08:10

The problem is, what would happen to anyone if one of these dog people who let their animal foul the pavement, was confronted?

You can imagine..everyone says the same phrase on here .. "a mouthful of abuse".

It's crazy.. our society has got to the stage where people are able to act selfishly because we (rightly, at times) fear the response when they are challenged on their selfishness.

For this you can also read

  1. Use of speakerphone on trains and in public places
  2. iPad and mobile device content played loudly in restaurants or public
  3. Parking in areas which cause danger to other users
  4. Parking across driveways etc

JacquesHarlow · 26/06/2024 08:01

Fully agree.

Yes some people are 'awful' both dog and non-dog owners.

I don't understand people doing it, it makes no sense. We always bag and bin. My son often picks up other people's dog poo. It seems to be happening a lot less around here now than it did a few years ago, but poo just left around has gone up - which is equally grim, but better for the environment, I guess?

HRTQueen · 26/06/2024 08:12

They are dirty lazy fuckers

there are a few on here that will leave the bagged poo aside apparently hidden so it doesn’t spoil their walk and collect it on the way home 🙄😡 as if that’s ok

honestly I think the fines should be extremely high

CornishYarg · 26/06/2024 08:13

Totally agree. There's a little wooded area near me with a picnic table in it. Yesterday, I saw someone had left a bag of dog poo on the table. Wtf is wrong with some people?

Livelaughlurgy · 26/06/2024 08:15

I find the abandoned bagged poo more offensive than just left poo (work that one out). I think it's because in my mind the bagged abandoners feel a moral superiority over the non baggers that they do not deserve. All in my head however.

Yes I've noticed this. If I go for a walk after there's been a particularly wild and windy or wet day there is always a lot more unbagged dog pooh lying about. I've always assumed it's because there hasn't been anyone much around to see so the dog walkers haven't bothered to clean up after them.

Bluevelvetsofa · 26/06/2024 08:22

It’s the sense of entitlement. I live near the sea and there are notices along the seafront saying that dogs are not allowed on the beach between May and September. They must be on lead on the prom all the time. So there are dogs on the beach and in the sea and along the prom not on leads. Why does your desire to walk your dog mean that you can ignore the regulations, please yourself and sod the folk who prefer not to have animals running around them or deal with their excrement.

That's exactly what I say! As a responsible dog owner (although my dog died 2 weeks ago), why bag it at all if you're going to dump it somewhere other than a bin?

Peppermints2 · 26/06/2024 08:29

@Bluevelvetsofa I wonder if we live in the same place.

I used to work in a national park tourist destination. Each autumn, as the leaves fell from the trees and bushes, bags and bags of dog poo would be revealed hanging from the branches.

HaPPy8 · 26/06/2024 08:30

I always assume when people have bagged it and left it they are going to pick it up on their return journey and they’ve just left it rather than carry it for the walk? Is that naive?!!

Churchview · 26/06/2024 08:31

I go out for a walk every day and on a new walk this weekend I noticed that one of the lanes near my house has a lot of litter.

This morning first thing DH and I went out with two bin bags and filled them in half an hour. One with recycling and one with rubbish.

I got over 30 drinks cans...RedBull, Prosecco, coke, G&T, Monster and Thatchers mostly.

Second biggest load of crap was vape and fag stuff. 4 whole vape machines smashed to bits by cars on the road....fag packets, vape box stuff, filters still in their packets.

It seems people who smoke/vape are at least as bad for not giving a fuck as irresponsible dog owners.

Sandwich packets, sweet wrappers, crisp packets, Dominos junk, plastic bottles and LOTS of McDonalds shite.

One dog poo. 3 old dog poo bags that we so raddled the poo had obviously long been washed away.

I'm assuming most of the above was dropped from cars.

Who does that? Do they not care/think or do they just not mind living in a shit heap.

It's not just dog people who ugly up the world and put nature at risk. Just take your crap home and recycle it/bin it.

We have a gorgeous little nature reserve near us with ground nesting birds. There are notices everywhere asking you to stick to the proper paths and all dogs must be on leads...because of the nesting birds.

No surprise that many dog owners just let their creatures roam off lead because they are selfish fuckers. I have a go at them every time, if I can make their day a little more unpleasant (and consistently so) then maybe they'll actually start obeying the rules that are there for a reason...or just walk their mutts somewhere else!
