WHERE is the sun?!! It is ludicrous, I don't remember a June like this for years and I keep depressing myself with the fucking BBC weather app. They promised sunshine and warmth and now they are saying rain, rain, rain. How on earth is anyone supposed to cope? I am going to Barcelona in a few weeks, and I am counting the seconds. AARGH!

I'm in Glasgow and it is MISERABLE here. Not cold, just grey.

I am really sorry but that's like saying "Where's the sun?" in Reykjavik...

Just don't understand posts like these..

Bonjovispjs · 24/06/2024 12:32

Gonna be hot and sunny all week in London (finally) 😊

Wow! I'm in South Lanarkshire and it's roasting.

TuesdayWhistler · 24/06/2024 12:33

It's absolutely glorious where I am in the midlands. Since summer solstice, ists been hot and sunny every day.

24c this afternoon.
I'm thinking of starting a trend of carrying an umbrella in the sun, protect my delicate porcelain skin... 🤪🤣

Ginmonkeyagain · 24/06/2024 12:33

Warm and getting a bit sweary here in London .

If you will insist on living in Scotland .... 😂

Disturbia81 · 24/06/2024 12:34

Scorching in Yorkshire, hope you get some this week.

We haven't had a summer as bad as this in years. Luckily, I get to spend some time of the year in London, but this year I've had more to do up here so have been stuck. I find your response very unhelpful.

Not just Scotland, but the west coast of Scotland - it's pretty much the greyest, wettest bit (not the coldest and windiest though, the islands get to have that)

We're quite sweary in Scotland too.

Greengrapeofhome · 24/06/2024 12:35

The sun has finally reached Wales and it’s boiling today. I hope it comes your way soon

As I say, it isn't cold. It is just grey and miserable. Usually people are really sympathetic on these kinds of threads. I'll remember this next time anyone else posts a weather thread, and make sure to point out that it's lovely where I am.

Yeah to be fair, Glasgow probably has the edge on that score!

I mean... you are in Glasgow? Obviously Scotland does get fantastic weather sometimes, but it's often cloudy/rainy and cooler than elsewhere in the UK. It has been a rubbish spring/early summer everywhere. Try the Met Office app rather than BBC, I find it's more accurate.

It's set to be really bloody hot and very sunny in the south-east this week. Cloudy here right now but the sun is due to come out in an hour or two and then it will be boiling.

Ginmonkeyagain · 24/06/2024 12:37

I'm going to leave my typo!

I'm not being unsympathetic I'm astonished at the difference in weather 15 minutes up the road. Sunny, bright and hot here but grey and dull where you are. Part and parcel of living in Scotland tbh.

Misthios · 24/06/2024 12:39

Many of you aren't hearing what @MsLuxLisbon is saying. We know what normal summer weather is in Glasgow.

This summer - so far - has been awful. Usually May and June are the best months and as soon as schools break up the weather starts to slide. Schools finish on Wednesday this week and May and June have been cold and very wet. Far wetter and colder than the norm. We're not asking for 28c and sun splitting the streets. Just a bit or warmth and sunshine.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 24/06/2024 12:39

FawnFrenchieMum · 24/06/2024 12:23

Lovely here in West Yorkshire, sunny without being overbearingly hot.

I'm in West Yorkshire too and we have no sun 😓. It's reasonably warm though. Cloud predicted all day unfortunately.

That's true. BBC app is full of shit, often. It does actually seem to be cheering up now a bit. You're wrong about Glasgow, though. It is very often nicer than this in summer, it is Edinburgh that tends to get the rough weather and cold winds.

Too hot here! And before anyone rolls their eyes, I’m looking at the ground going rock hard and seeing the grass growth drop right off in the last couple of weeks - could use a little light overnight rain right now.

Always the way 😂

You need to move to East Cambridgeshire, it’s 27 degrees all this week!

YellowDaffodilRedTulip · 24/06/2024 12:41

26, full baking sun in Cambridge. I’ve been sitting out but had to come inside as was overheating.

IdealHomeExhibition · 24/06/2024 12:42

Really hot here but unpleasant. Overcast muggy and no air.
