This weather!! I could SCREAM!!

WHERE is the sun?!! It is ludicrous, I don't remember a June like this for years and I keep depressing myself with the fucking BBC weather app. They promised sunshine and warmth and now they are saying rain, rain, rain. How on earth is anyone supposed to cope? I am going to Barcelona in a few weeks, and I am counting the seconds. AARGH!

We are going to the Highlands tomorrow for a week. Here is the forecast. Now You don't go to the Highlands expecting heatwaves and wall to wall sun. But come on. 14c and raining. That's October weather.

In my experience, in the Highlands the best weather is to be had in late spring. Summer can be a complete wash out. I remember one year it rained every single day of the (local) school summer holiday.

I think I'm the Highlands it will be different every day. You will have better weather than that :)

If it's actually Aviemore you're going to I wouldn't worry too much, even if the weather is cold elsewhere the likes of the beach at Loch Morlich is lovely.
It wasn't that nice with us today, my friend went on a day trip up to loch Morlich and said it was great.

So glad that heatwave is over. I’m in Essex and the weather has been awful since last October. An awful, dreary winter without any frost or snow or bright crisp days, and then the worst spring I can remember. I think we had literally one sunny day in the whole of March. Like most people I’ve been yearning for some goddam daylight, but had forgotten how much I loathe the heat. We finally get the sun and it’s unbearable!

I have begun to dread the summers. I don’t know whether Scotland gets more or less sunlight, on average, than southern England, but you’re lucky not to get these heatwaves. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it hit the 30s in Scotland. It always seems to be the south eastern corner of this island that catches them. Once it reaches the 80s I’m done. I don’t want to leave the house.

It annoying me because it’s so unreliable for drying washing outside.

We’ve only had 3 days so far where it’s been nice all day. 1 day in May and 2 in June. It was actually a bit nippy this morning - I was shocked!

We're midlands and it's been abs dyer!!! We've had prob 2-3 wks of decent weather without rain since last August! Every single day it's overcast and even when we have had sun it's still rained bar the odd few days of nice weather and it is freezing! It's been awful! I had to put my winter coat on today it was so cold, it's just damn right dreary and miserable and if I get the chance to leave this country for a warmer place I am off!

I have heating on and fire on here in Yorkshire and still cold! Was shivering in the city centre today

Anyone got awful weather today? SE here, and it poured with rain all day yesterday, and is rainy and windy today. DD's birthday party is outside next weekend, and I'm praying for better weather! Where is summer?! 😵‍💫

Yep, heavy rain here in London yesterday and still raining now. Going to Kew the music on Tuesday and heavy rain is forecast all day 😫 Going to be a lot of sodden Mika fans there.

It's rained on and off all day here (NE), max temperature of 15 degrees and we've just had a thunderstorm.

It genuinely feels it's not summer. The curtains are all drawn and little lights on. My dh talked about putting the heating on and I'm considering putting the heavier duvet back on the bed

Beyond pissed off at this crap weather feels like winter as can't get out this eve due to rain. Am in southwest.
Have an allotment everyone is fed up as hardly anything is growing. I have ended up watching a place in the sun if this is going to be our weather for the foreseeable future....

Actually it got a feel of Scotland about it. There's lovely sun for a bit and down cones the rain. And it's been breezy.

Didn't we all plant up our gardens for climate change with drought resistant plants though?

It’s miserable. There hasn’t been a single day I can think of when it’s just been hot and sunny all day. There have been days it’s been warm in the sun, but it’s still been cloudy off and on that day, or breezy.

We're about 30 miles outside London. It was 9.5°c on Saturday morning. And pissing down. I think it warmed up to a balmy 13...but chucked it down on and off all day. We were at an outside event for much of the day.
Even DH who is unrealistically optimistic, put a hoodie on as soon as he got in from work.
I looked at the long range forecast, I think it was due to rain on 9 out of 14 days.
