Why r some men so disgusting

Twice in the last month have come across men pleasuring themselves in public.

one when I was walking the dog. And was facing the pond and having a go. And just now. Some man laying on the grass on the side of the road. Hand down his pants. Just laying their pleasuring him selves. What is it.

I saw a parked work van once with two guys.. one guy stood outside the van just sorta looking awkward.. and.the second guy inside and obviously shaking his todger, could see his arm going... it was on a main road too and the van was kinda bouncing. It was so disgusting and I actually wondered if the guy actually said to his mate.. do you mind waiting outside while I have a wank... Men are gross!

I had this on the tube on the way to work one morning, must have been around 7.30...I was so young I just froze. He kept looking at me with this sleazy smile. Can still remember the fear.
Nowadays I'd loudly tell him to stop it and call the police.

Similar thing but worse. A good friend was taking the tube one afternoon and a guys wanked all over her. She was in a dress as it was summer. No-one did anything. One man handed her a hanky 🤨 She ran home crying stuck in that dress...

That was in the early 2000s and just two of many creepy experiences. With all the nasty porn so easily available now I can't help but think it's worse than ever.

But it is STILL a choice, they choose to do it for kicks. They are not these poor impulse-driven babies as someone suggested suggested earlier.

A man walked past me on a car park the other day. Opened his trousers readjusted himself and carried on his way. My husband was gob smacked. I just said yup. Welcome to the wonderful world of men.

I will say I am aware this is not all men. My husband as an example is a wonderful man who I would not be without. But he is baffled at why men do this. Like. Are we are all supposed to turned on by this? Throw ourselves at them. Makes me feel sick.

No, it's power nd threat. Think about it, what would put you off lifting your top in the same area? The threat of being harmed. Those men don't experience that.

There are many comments on here about these men doing this because they are seeking to dominate etc. which I think is plausible. But there many other ways the men can feel powerful, and not all men masturbate in public. I would go as far as to say it is an extremely small proportion of men. Is it possible that this minority of men is mentally unwell? Does anyone know any of the criminology/psychology of this phenomenon? I’ve witnessed it probably twice in my life: on both occasions the men were evidently at the edge of society. I’m not asking about this in a moral sense; should a man do this out of choice (ie in the total absence of any mental illness) then it absolutely is abhorrent. But if it’s a symptom of a psychiatric disorder, should they not be treated rather than being violently assaulted as some posters on here have suggested?

@izzywizzy82 yup. Never happened to me before. And always counted myself lucky that I hadn’t. But he was just there on the grass verge by the traffic lights. Lying on the ground I was stunned. I was worried at first he had fallen over and needed help but then realised.
I was walking the dog for the first one round by a pond. I was on my own walking the dog. Actually freaked me out and my dog kept trying to go near him. I called my husband who talked to me until I got clear and I felt safe and near people.

They are so fucking gross. Even the respectable ones are basically deviants!

There's different types. The old style flashers who've upped the ante. The deliberately sexually aggressive (hands down joggers, look you in the eye and smirk) and the ones who before social care went down the toilet, wouldn't have been on the streets at all. Lying down on the grass verge by traffic lights is probably type 3.

My elderly and very proper looking mother was once "accosted" by a flasher. She told him she'd seen bigger earthworms. She reported him to the police who seemed to be trying very hard not to laugh when she was questioned about what she'd said to him. They did take it seriously though as they said they tended to escalate.

Exactly this. If they didn't plan it but couldn't control the urge then they'd use a closed cubicle in a mens toilet. Not that is right either but standing in public is what they get off on.

There's is nothing, NOTHING funny about men doing this. To suggest that there's anything remotely humorous about this is also potentially harmful.

Tbf, the poster who witnessed this incident is the victim (whether she sees herself that way or not) and entitled to percieve it as she wishes. When I was a teen there was a regular flasher in the park. The girls who had been victims of him, myself included, all turned it into a joke amongst ourselves. It was a way of dealing with something unpleasant and disturbing that took back control and belittled the man as an object of ridicule. I agree entirely it shouldn't be minimised as 'harmless fun' but to laugh AT these men is a valid response.

A few years back I was walking to Tesco on my lunch break, so around mid-day, fairly busy street, man walking along wanking, just blatantly, in front of everyone, including kids. Most dogs behave better.
