To think this is disgusting

Bearface28 · 09/06/2024 08:49

Was in bed last night, DH visibly scratched his bum then put his hand under my nose. Immediately lost my shit and left the room. He thought he was being funny but I can't even look at him.

Aibu to think there's no coming back from this?

OP posts:
caringcarer · 10/06/2024 01:06

How disgusting. I'd tell him I don't fancy him anymore.

Back21970 · 10/06/2024 01:35

How can anyone think that is funny, OMG it’s gross.

Seems like a ridiculous thing to end even a half decent relationship over but for me this would be very hard to unsee (or unsmell).

Peonii · 10/06/2024 01:38

I hate hate hate men bashing. But the more I'm on MN, it begs the question: what is wrong with them? I can't imagine a woman ever doing anything like this.

dontcryformeargentina · 10/06/2024 01:47

Testing your boundaries and poop fetish..

LauderSyme · 10/06/2024 02:03

It's gross and infantile but I'm fairly sure you can come back from this if you want to, as long as you succeed in impressing upon him that it. must. never. happen. again.

The scatological theme here reminded me of a porn scene - God knows how i became aware of it - where a woman squatted on top of a glass coffee table and opened her bowels while her partner lay underneath looking up 😖

I actually vomited watching "Two girls, one cup". Funnily enough it was a MN thread that prompted me to look it up. People's sexual predilections are sometimes utterly incomprehensible.

Thepossibility · 10/06/2024 04:05

This is akin to taking a shit in the bed for a laugh for me. Nearly unforgivable. Wtf.

Lifelikinotdothinki · 10/06/2024 04:07

Yes totally disgusting. 🤮

EnthENd · 10/06/2024 05:32

Well he has a juvenile sense of humour, a shit fetish, or both. Make it clear you don’t find shit either funny or sexy.

Oooooooodieeeee · 10/06/2024 06:20

23% think the op IBU!? Why? Show yourselves!!

EatCrow · 10/06/2024 06:25

Bearface28 · 09/06/2024 10:17

Just spoke to him about it & he didn't really see what he'd done wrong, thought it was just a bit of a laugh. I asked him how he'd feel if I did the same to him and he responded 'aroused'. I give up.

Edited

Have to say OP, that actually cracked me up, that he could come back with that response, I mean it’s so immature but it made me laugh anyway!

I don’t think it’s a hill to die on either but let him know it really did gross you out. No man wants to understand his wife feels like that about him surely?

xsquared · 10/06/2024 06:41

Immature and disgusting.

Dd was in year 1 when a boy offered her to smell his pencil that he put it his bottom.

SNMummy2024 · 10/06/2024 00:02

Sorry but I am with the other posters who are finding this hilarious 🤣

It is absolutely vile and grim as, but I am led here chuckling away. Especially funny was the part where he says your bum odour fingers would get him 'aroused' 😂

See, I reeeeeeeeeeally don’t understand this. 😬

I assume he was being tongue in cheek with that comment (for want of a better phrase 😂).

Obviously it's gross, but I'm not sure it warrants a LTB. For a start, can you imagine explaining the cause of your break up to people 🤣

Loads of us have posted already 🤷‍♀️

Everyone has a different sense of humour and finds different things funny - even farts and bums 😂

MonsteraMama · 10/06/2024 11:17

Bobbotgegrinch · 09/06/2024 23:18

Haha, I'm bi, so have been fairly up close myself, and will happily agree that its two very different smells.

I'm just struggling to imagine a world in which any man is going to think "I know what'll get my partners motor running! Poo smell!" so wondered if maybe she recoiled quickly enough to not get a good whiff.

I don't know, I think this is more likely a man who is very comfortable with his wife and forgot for a moment that gross out humour isn't most women's cup of tea.

He may find it arousing if his wife did that back, but I think that's just him defending himself now after the fact. I don't think his intention was to arouse but to gross out. I don't know though, maybe he swung on something new he wanted to try and missed by about seven lightyears. But I'd put my money on it being a very poorly aimed joke.

Also sorry for assuming your heterosexuality, as a bi person myself that was bad of me!

Ifyoucouldreadmymindlove · 09/06/2024 19:14

Why is getting bacteria from your arsehole on your hands, before putting it in the face of your partner “highly amusing”?

🤣🤣🤣

Blackcats7 · 10/06/2024 11:36

This is ten year old boy to another ten year old boy behaviour. Hugely wrong from an adult let alone husband to wife.

peachescariad · 10/06/2024 11:40

In true MN style and following on from another thread on here......LTB!!😆

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 10/06/2024 11:47

That's horrible.

I do hope your DH isn't a pastry chef. 🤮

alittlehopeisadangerousthing · 10/06/2024 11:49

This is just horrible. It reminds me a bit of an ex who used to do nasty long pretend burps (mouth ones not bottom) and I told him that I didn't find it attractive and I needed some sense of romance for the bedroom. He found what I said even funnier and didn't stop doing it. He also used to fart with abandon which I don't like in a relationship. If one slips out, fair enough, but don't make a point of it. He seemed to get off on being told off. Sad to say, I got the ick very strongly soon after and our relationship ended.

Whattodo112222 · 10/06/2024 11:54

This has put me off my lunch. Your husband is a disgusting cretin. Even a pig has more decorum.

you would find it funny if your partner made you smell his shit?!

For me this is far more worrying than the initial "incident"

I think we're all capable of misjudging situations and doing stupid things in the spare of the moment - but refusing to apologise or acknowledge that he's messed up and upset you is a big red flag

StarbucksQueen1 · 10/06/2024 12:36

When I first read it, I thought maybe a joke and he didn’t actually touch his arse. The fact you could smell it is fucking vile. What a pig. I would be repulsed and want to leave. Is he usually so disgusting?
