Have the Tories even managed to scrape enough candidates from the bottom of the barrel? So many current MPs are stepping down. A local Councillor in my neighbouring village who's been doing the job for about five minutes is standing as a Tory candidate in a seat over 100 miles away.

I might be in hospital, will know more soon. Don’t trust the post office for a postal vote so off to read up on proxy vote. There is a chance we can get current Tory MP out here but we are going to need every vote.

It really feels like some good things are finally happening in the UK: general election, those responsible for the post office and contaminated blood scandals having to answer for their actions and the DWP having to publish their own figures that clearly show that in fact there is almost no PIP fraud...

Let's return to a society where politicians and CEOs are held accountable for their actions and where we don't exist just to service a few rich people at the top while everyone else struggles.

Although if the Labour or Lib Dem candidate knocks on my door (no Tory will be knocking, that’s for certain), I’ll be asking the relevant questions.

I’ll probably spoil my vote again or not bother. None of them are worth it. At local level, there are some good people round here, but all the PPCs put up by the main parties are all career politicians with no interest in the local area.

I’m just interested in which party/media outlet will be the first to declare this is “The British people’s Independence Day”.
