He’s not been feeling well recently and complains of a funny tummy in front of our Dd, 6.

Aibu to feel totally put off by this and to just not want to know? Or am I just a cold, uncaring person?!

If he is always releasing wind frequently and experiencing incontinence it needs investigating. You say it isn't Chrons? What investigating was done to establish this?

Hopefully it is an intolerance/allergy rather than anything sinister. After developing a horrible allergy to dairy at nearly 50 he has my sympathy.

Imo when you marry someone you take on all the grime of real life with them.. the shitting yourself the giving birth the operations the aging.. and you are there for each other thru it lifting each others spirits and offering support.

He’s clearly worried and confided in you as you’re the person he trusts. He’s supported you when giving birth and presumably changed some poo nappies.
A phone call to the GP and further investigation are needed. Revulsion and teasing are not a good luck and if any of you think I’m being judgemental you’re damned right.

I didn’t mean anything wrong in mentioning it in front of Dd, there’s nothing wrong with that at all, I just meant he’s often going on about things like that and I just really don’t want to know these things or hear constant trumping or to be told ‘Oh I’m got a funny tummy’ before he heads to the loo.
A real problem, of course I’d be sympathetic/worried
