Mum screaming F you at another car outside nursery

I was just picking up my child when I saw another mum exit the nursery with her child.

They were going to a car parked on the road and there was an altercation with another car. The mum was putting her child into her seat and a woman in a car that was passing them, started shouting at the mum for putting her child in her seat in the road.

The mum then proceeded to shout 'F You ' twice to the lady, who then drove off. The mum then looked and me and said sorry and drove off.

AIBU to think this is totally unacceptable outside of a nursery ? Thankfully my child didn't hear, but her child did !

We've received emails before about parents parking on double yellows outside and residents complaining. I'm sure they'll send out an email reminding people to mind how they behave as it's a residential street.

Because parking on double yellow lines is an offence. Swearing isn't 🙄

I wouldn't. I think you'd be making a bit of an arse of yourself. Mum was stressed. Driver piled on more stress and she lost her temper. If this hasn't happened to you then you're a better person than most of us but it will come. One day that time will come. 🤣

No one likes a grass love.

EnjoyingTheSilence · 16/05/2024 17:44

Get a grip! People swear, you might not like it but they do.

Please complain and come back and tell us what happens

I think I might complain to the nursery. This is just not ok.

They can't do anything about something that happened outside of nursery premises.

Endofthebeginning · 16/05/2024 17:53

Can't believe this is real. Nursery aren't in charge of the parents. There's a reason you're not going to the police about this, adults are allowed to swear.

DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 16/05/2024 17:56

Pure class!!😂

Just imagine what both of the families are like. I pity those having to live next door, above or below them🙄

Halfheadhighlights · 16/05/2024 17:56

well, your child didn’t hear so it’s nothing really to do with you. No one was hurt

She didn’t sound in a good frame of mind, you could have asked if she was ok.

Are you joking?

I've seen two women almost regular park on the yellow marking - I reported them they told me to call the CEO

Another lady about a yar ago was videoing a man in a big van that often parked on the yellow markings and I'm guessing she sent the video and she did not hide the fact as went in front of the van etc - the van never parked there again

And what exactly do you expect nursery to do? Stick her in time out? Grow up

MaryFuckingFerguson · 16/05/2024 18:02

😂😂

I suspect you’re joking. But what do you think they’d do? Tick her off for saying ‘fuck?’ 😂

I call 100% bullshit.

What about when you have two children?

They scooch over, it's really dangerous and annoying when people have their door wide open on a road. Especially in the evening, black car and clothing.

DottieMoon · 16/05/2024 18:07

PossumintheHouse · 16/05/2024 16:58

Go on then, complain to the nursery. They'll only laugh at you behind your back.

It's 'fuck' twice. Not exactly music to the ears, but I can think of worse trauma.

Agree

DaisyChain505 · 16/05/2024 18:10

You don’t know what sort of day she’s had or what she’s going through. We all snap sometimes and do things we look back on and regret.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 16/05/2024 18:12

I'm sure the nursery will make those narsty chavs write out
"I will not say rudey words"
100 times and do a weeks detention

TomeTome · 16/05/2024 18:12

What glorious day it would be to be reprimanded for swearing off premises by your child’s nursery.

Don’t be so fucking ridiculous.

LoveSandbanks · 16/05/2024 18:17

You’re not looking good here OP. You have no idea what that woman is going through. She may well be a sweary chav, in which case she’ll take no notice of your complaint so your time will be wasted. She may well be a woman at the end of her rope who is clinging to her sanity by her fingernails, in which case, you’ll be an utter bitch in her already stressful life. Why not have a bit of compassion for a fellow mum instead of being judgey and stuck up

It's not the nursery's problem to deal with! It wasn't even on their premises!

Arguments happen everywhere, it's beyond your control. Are you worried your child will start swearing too?

Just explain to your child "you shouldn't say fuck darling, it's a fucking bad idea and you look fucking shit so just bear that the fuck in mind ok sweetie?"

What would you like the nursery to do about it? Ban parents from swearing in public places?

You will come across as very petty to the nursery. But if you are, you may as well come across that way!
