I saw on the BAFTA’s the other night that she got some special award and I was genuinely wondering does anyone like her? I’ve never known anyone who does so I wanted to ask on here.
Personally I have no idea how she’s kept a job on tv for so long and can only assume that she’s got a lot of dirt on people. In her acceptance speech she thank her Mum for her work ethic which I thought was quite funny as she only does 4 hours a week if she feels like it. Not to mention the whole tax avoidance thing. Just curious

I've never watched LK on television as I don't watch much and chat show type stuff doesn't appeal so it's not like you're even forced to watch her.

I loathe threads started just to disingenuously encourage nastiness against a person. Especially a woman.

Do people honestly expect someone doing four days presenting a one hour chat show to equal only four hours of work? The woman has had a lifelong career doing this - she has a good work ethic. I’ve never heard anything bad about her except the odd thread on here where people take umbrage at her manner or whatever.

She gets flack because she's a successful woman in the public eye so people (other women included) think it's absolutely fine to criticise her.

Charles Spencer said on being interviewed about his new book on boarding school and the abuse hidden therein (including to him as a small boy) that the one who really got how to talk about it sensitively was Lorraine Kelly. He thought her outstanding in handling such a difficult and sensitive topic.

Nasty thread and don't understand the hate for her. She seems nice enough to me. And she stands up for things she believes in too.

For goodness sake, there’s so much wrong with the world right now, is there really a need to start a nasty thread about a woman who is a decent person by all accounts with a long successful career.

Weird thread. I'm pretty sure she doesn't only work 4 hours a day but even if she did, fancy starting a thread slagging someone off and one of your main points is that, at 64 years of age, she doesn't have a good work ethic for working 'part time'. Yeah, I'm sure she's in the position she's in, financially and professionally, because she's so lazy 🙄

She seems very pleasant. I’ve no idea why anyone would have an issue with her.

Why are women still making themselves feel better by pulling other women down for no real reason?
It's ok not to like someone, for genuine reasons.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other about her and don't watch her show on ITV.

She has been doing what she is doing for decades. If the audience in general didn't like her, she wouldn't be on TV every morning.

I don't watch her chat shows on tv and don't know her personally. But she always comes across as likeable and approachable. I think she probably has an inner steel too, so is not one dimensional. She has a serious side and was one of the first reporters on the scene at Lockerbie and has talked openly about ptsd. She clearly doesn't like Esther McVey very much either, and so she's obviously also a good judge of character. There's very little to dislike about her in my opinion. I like her a lot.

As for her working part time, that has no relevance at all, to anything.

I don't like her much, and have heard she’s difficult to work with. But I don’t think her working part time is anything to slag her off about.

I mean, Piers Morgen is still on tv so not sure that tells us much......joke, I get that some folk enjoy his style of presenting/interviewing.😂

Maybe they weren't used to women who could be genuinely warm and friendly but who also weren't afraid to be honest? Just a thought. I doubt she's anyone's fool.

Pointless job, someone's got to do it, so why not her? Glimpse her occasionally, seems fine to me, she's been there for eons so must be doing something right. Leave her alone.
