To ask you to share something joyful this Wednesday?

So much negativity and sadness, so AIBU to try for a thread of small (or large) joyful things?

I’ll start: the dawn chorus is beautiful today and I have decided to adopt it as my welcome to Wednesday from the world.

I love this thread - especially the geese, I may take a walk to the local lake later to see if ours are back yet.

My garden is looking beautiful this morning with tall bright green ferns, forget-me-nots and blue bells. I have a day off work and it’s finally forecast to be warm enough for me to get the decking sorted ready for the outdoor sofa and lights to go up.

I might be full of cold and feeling rotten but the days are so much lighter and yesterday was lovely and warm. Everything feels hope filled when the sun is shining and you don’t need a coat!

Sunshine, lovely weekend plans, DC in a good mood and birdsong.

Clean sheets on the bed last night, line dried in the sun, smelling like heaven.
Ds is struggling through a tough time but is getting through - very proud of him.

The swallows that nest in our shed arrived last weekend. The fresh smell of the garden is wonderful at this time of the morning.

We have a new rescue cat - only had him 5 days. Last night he escaped outside (teen son forgot to close back door). I sat up with doors open waiting for him. 2 hours later he walked in the door , tail up and meowing for food and attention. I think he likes us.

(he will be allowed outside in a few weeks but advice is to keep him indoors for now to establish our house as his home)

It's not raining so there'll be no water coming down the chimney today.

I was greeted by my lovely cat when I woke up this morning. He's always so happy to see me.

I bought a new nail varnish yesterday and it's the exact shade of bright orangy pink I wanted. It's really cheering me up! Misty here so the pop of colour is very welcome.

My husband left october 2021 this is the first may since that I feel like my old self and full of hope and excitement for spring and summer.

Bluebells, bluebells everywhere!

Sadly, only one part of that statement is true!

I had porridge with brown sugar with my lovely husband, we can hear the birds singing and I can feel my baby kicking inside me. God is good!

We’ve finally got my 10 month old on a good sleep schedule, meaning he’s going to bed at a reasonable time and not past midnight. His naps have improved too.

It's my babies first birthday tomorrow so I'm going cake shopping today!

My cat no longer needs her little white stick😂

I'm going for a swim today.

My white lilac is blooming. I saw it in full bloom when the previous owner was living here, moved in after it had died down, and I've been waiting all year to see it in all its glory. I adore this house and am so happy here.

I've just booked a trip to Dubrovnik.

Donating my 6th bag of blood today.
Its special and is used for premature babies apparently. One bag of my blood, serves 3 babies I’m told. It makes me feel so good and to smile inwardly that an hour out of my day can do this!

Then meeting with a group of friends of 20 years plus. LOVE these amazing women and cannot wait to bask in their fabulousness 🥰

After 2 years and the requirement for a private podiatrist my foot is starting to feel masses better. I'm looking forward to being able to start jogging.

Lovely thread - it’s all coming together with me at work and years of courses and one big gamble later, my dreams are coming true

My jeans fit easily after a bit of struggle with my weight and I am wearing a nice flower bobble that was cheap from H&M.

Bank holiday weekend is coming up. May is my favourite month of the year. Hope everyone has a lovely day today!
