Just seen a delivery guy peeing in my front garden (caught on ring doorbell) wasn't even my delivery and he was delivering food 🤢 clearly sees the doorbell but doesn't care! Someone said well there is a lack of toilets but surely that's not an excuse?!

OP posts:
EwwwwwwDavid · 30/04/2024 21:16

Prime bottles too I think

Disgusting but I do wonder, where do delivery people 'go'???

I was speaking to an Amazon guy and he drinks/ eats nothing during the day, then when he’s finished he rehydrates/ has dinner. He’s only recently gone back to them and has dropped 5kg in three weeks.

WishesPromised · 30/04/2024 21:32

I don't think he did it for shits and giggles. It's not great, but probably worse for him.

ButterCrackers · 30/04/2024 21:35

Do you have the name of the delivery firm? If so report this person. What a disgrace to use your property as a toilet. There’s no excuses for that.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 30/04/2024 21:37

That’s disgusting. When I have deliveries at work the drivers ask to use the toilet, I never say no. It’s a crap excuse to use there’s no toilets on their route. Excuse the pun.

What a load of tosh.

Where do NHS community staff go? Definitely not in people's gardens.

It isn't an excuse. He could've gone anywhere else but to pee in someone's garden is disgusting.

Report and file a complaint.

Also suggest said delivery driver carries an empty bottle so he isn't caught short again 🤣

Agree. You can't just use someone's garden as a toilet!
I think it could be an offence from what I recall

Hopebridge · 30/04/2024 21:45

I was sat in my car the other day (guy didn't see me in a carpark) and a guy started weeing down the side of my car!) thankfully not at my car. Worse thing was a toilet was about 100 metres away. I got out 🤢 I would have had to say something if it was in my garden. I appreciate it's difficult being a delivery driver but they could go to a service station?

Nah, it won’t have been.

As discussed upthread, there are any number of solutions for men to use if caught short whilst out and about. Including simply pissing into a bottle from the privacy of your own vehicle. There’s zero excuse to take yourself into a strangers garden where you might be viewed by the occupants with your penis out.

There are fewer options for women - as in the case of the poor pp who deals with her period whilst delivering parcels. But I’ll bet you she’s never squatted down in a strangers garden to change her tampon.

Theoriginalmrscillianmurphy · 30/04/2024 23:29

@Nanny0gg I have. In fact I pee in a park every Wednesday without fail when I go for a walk.

You're aware you're talking about a human being here yes?

No, she isn't as it happens. She's talking about the products available on the market to avoid just such an eventuality.

Unless you are responding to the wrong post?

Lollybaz · 01/05/2024 17:41

Thank your lucky stars he only needed a pee! 😂😂

cremebrulait · 01/05/2024 17:44

Winningatpatriachychicken · 30/04/2024 12:32

Honestly I wouldn't care. Poor guy was probably bursting. And his employers won't have factored loo breaks into his targets. And he probably makes minimum wage.

Urine won't damage your lawn, don't make someone's life harder but reporting them, it won't make your life any better

I agree.

FFS why are people so eager to make someone lose their job??? In a cost of living crisis?

OP how do you react to animals pissing and pooing on your property?

Crystallizedring · 01/05/2024 17:47

MarioIa · 30/04/2024 12:59

This is an age old myth, usually about truck drivers. No adult man can fit his penis into the top of a bottle, I remember a drunk ex and his mate trying when we were young and stuck on the motorway in a van.

I always assumed it was parents letting their kids wee in bottles when caught short.

Edited

Dh used to be a driver and he did wee in empty bottles but obviously just put the tip of his penis in the bottle. So it can be done. When he was stuck in traffic there was no choice.
Never did he decide to piss on someone's lawn.

Vicki85 · 01/05/2024 17:49

This is disgusting!
ive worked for 6 years as a driver for a very well known home delivery / grocery company and there is literally no excuse.
As a female I obv have to find toilets so I don’t see why the men should just whip it out and pee in lay-bys.

Its very much gross misconduct, one because it’s not a great company image, and 2 it’s unhygienic .
report him

peakygold · 01/05/2024 17:50

Years ago, I knew a Post Office mechanic who caught hepatitis from where posties who delivered cash to the post offices in time-locked vans, had torn away the fabric around the gear stick, and had been pissing on the gearbox. True fact.

noodlebugz · 01/05/2024 17:51

Accidentally voted the wrong way YANBU - ewwwww

DownWithThisKindOfThing · 01/05/2024 17:52

YANBU

its vile

there are plenty of places people can access a loo if they need to go. Or if he was genuinely caught short find a discreet bush or tree!

SharpAzurePanda · 01/05/2024 17:53

tongsatdawn · 30/04/2024 13:07

He wasn’t “a delivery man” he delivered nothing to your home and he wasn’t on your property as part of his work role.
A random man came into your garden and used it as a toilet - awful

This.

Disgusting and very bold - not in a good way. Very unwise of him too, what if you had a dog you suddenly let out to chase the “intruder”

If he loses his job, that’s on him and his employer. Nothing to do with OP. If his job was that important he wouldn’t be risking it in this way

It's like the people you see weeing next to the motorway. I always take a photo and report to the police as they could really just hold it in until the services instead.

I remember being stuck in traffic on the M5 and seeing a woman crouching between the front and back door with her head protruding above and a puddle forming around her. Grim. 🤢 She didn't look happy at my partner taking her photo (I was driving) but maybe it'll make her think next time.

How could she hold it in til the services if she was stuck in traffic with no idea how long it would take to get there?

Well aren’t you just lovely, taking people’s photos when they are in an extremely vulnerable position. I remember well heading into work when a lorry overturned onto the central reservation of the motorway, shedding its load of milk across both carriageways. For over two hours I was stuck in the jam, having already been in the car for 40 minutes and still having 20 minutes to go once I got off at the next junction. Desperate wasn’t the word. I was seriously considering getting out and weeing (as several men were doing). Being humiliated by being photographed would have been the icing on the cake. You absolute voyeuristic weirdo.
