To be annoyed delivery guy peed in my garden!

Just seen a delivery guy peeing in my front garden (caught on ring doorbell) wasn't even my delivery and he was delivering food 🤢 clearly sees the doorbell but doesn't care! Someone said well there is a lack of toilets but surely that's not an excuse?!

Given you're so cool with it, I imagine you have a sign on your front gate welcoming all delivery drivers and posties to relieve themselves in your front garden, if not, I suggest you pop one up so that you can virtue signal to all your neighbors how open to people exposing themselves in your front garden you are!

While he should have picked somewhere else to go, he was obviously desperate and probably thought no one would see. This country does have a lack of public toilets.

My ex did exactly this when I went on a Deliveroo/Uber Eats job with him once. Against someone’s hedge next to/onto their wheelie bin! It was the deciding factor in me breaking up with him (along with the fact he was an entitled dick). There are plenty of places to pee for drivers including against a tree in a park or scrubland, for some it’s 100% a choice!!

Your house actually sounds very similar to the house he did it 😳 although obviously there are loads of hedges and McDonald’s! Please tell me what town you’re in, I can give you his reg number 😂

Also there is a lot of sharing of accounts so if you report this man and he is banned from one account he will probably have/be able to get another one on the same app and keep working!

Better to pee on soil than on concrete. There may not have been any soil around apart from gardens

Gross! Definitely report him to delivery company. I get that delivery people need use the loo but pubs/cafés/supermarkets etc all have loos so they just have to plan their route so they can find a loo! Or carry a bottle and some hand sanitiser!

I'm a female delivery driver. It's a nightmare. I don't understand why a food driver couldn't have waited until his next visit to the food place, but as a parcel driver I'm really short on options.

Sure I can go in pubs gyms etc, but you're not always in the right areas. sometimes I can be doing housing estates for about 4 hours. Bearing in mind that I can only make money if I average 2-3 minutes per drop there's no time at all to drive 10 mins to Tesco, 5 mins in and 10 mins back again. Everyone's ETAs will be to pot.

Also PERIODS! Sometimes I have to go maybe once an hour on a heavy day. I have a camping toilet in the van for emergencies but tbh it's only usable once the van is half empty. I cannot emphasise enough how difficult it is when I need to do a full clothing change in a space I can't fully stand up in, with piles of parcels stacked around that I'm having to hold up with one hand. But needs must.

It's crap but would you have preferred to invite him in and use the facilities or have him piss in your garden?

Female delivery drivers aren't peeing in people's gardens so I don't see why men should. Even the most rural of routes are going to have the occasional pub and if not, there's plenty of discrete places out of sight. Peeing in someone's garden is just gross.

Mind you, on the motorway the other day, I passed a bloke who'd pulled onto hard shoulder to have a whizz. He was idiotically standing about 6ft away from the sign for the Services. 🙄

Disgusting, I'd report as well. I honestly wouldn't care if he lost his job, you can just piss in someone else's garden, that's not how the social contract is supposed to work.

Why would I invite him in he wasn't my delivery 😏 and I wasn't even in! I got a notification, so you think if you aren't in to let someone in your house it's ok for them to piss in your garden? Does that apply to shit too?

For those that asked I live in London there are many places local supermarkets, cafes, McDonald's, there's even a wooded area he could have used... what choice did he have to piss in my garden because I didn't let him use my toilet what on earth! I was even in and he wasn't my delivery driver, he should have asked the person he delivered to!

Why on earth would she invite in a delivery driver for a delivery that wasn't hers and she knew nothing about until he was mid pee???

That's culture problem not a facility one*. Urinating in public (for men) is normalised. For example photo of men urinating shoulder to shoulder before the start of London's Marathon was published among others in the album about sport photography.
One Sunday, in our local park, a woman confronted adult men peeing on sides of the football pitch. They told her they won't go to the club toilets because they would need to take the shoes off.
Taxi driver peeing into a bottle or whatever was that, next to the train station with open toilets.
There is few schoolboys who always pee on their route form school.
In the same park teenagers urinate against peoples homes. I once stopped and clapped for them, but I guess it was not passive aggressive enough...
Yes, there is a clean toilet in the park. however, council is looking at shorter opening hours as it has been vandalised on almost every weekend for some time now.

*This is different for women. Even in the guardian article urinals were mentioned few times. Men urinate in public so they install urinals for them, yet they still don't use them. Men have bigger bladders than women. Yet, I have never seen a woman urinating in the middle of the pavement - I have men.
There is nothing like smell of London and Paris in the summer. It is some kind cover as much of your capital in urine as possible rivalry, seriously.
