To be annoyed delivery guy peed in my garden!

Just seen a delivery guy peeing in my front garden (caught on ring doorbell) wasn't even my delivery and he was delivering food 🤢 clearly sees the doorbell but doesn't care! Someone said well there is a lack of toilets but surely that's not an excuse?!

To be fair though, do we know how hygienic anyone is? Someone, male or female, could use the public toilets and not bother with hand washing.

Very true, but my point was this particular delivery driver definitely never had the opportunity to wash his hands.

wompwomp · 30/04/2024 13:30

@Winningatpatriachychicken

You expect human beings to pees in bottles?
You say this like it's torture. It's not that weird. Better than pulling your penis out in public surely.

It's like the people you see weeing next to the motorway. I always take a photo and report to the police as they could really just hold it in until the services instead.

I remember being stuck in traffic on the M5 and seeing a woman crouching between the front and back door with her head protruding above and a puddle forming around her. Grim. 🤢 She didn't look happy at my partner taking her photo (I was driving) but maybe it'll make her think next time.

It's you that is grim in this scenario!! FFS!

Theoriginalmrscillianmurphy · 30/04/2024 13:31

I couldn't get worked up.

We've all been caught short.

And yet most of us have never relieved themselves in a strangers garden?

If they are lucky they have a tescos or Macdonalds etc on route. But employers don't factor in time to use them.,

But how long does it take to stop and nip in and use loo?

What 2 minutes... 3 tops...

Much better than weeing in someone's garden

Yes. It was quite nice of him to give the OP the heads up really so she can wash her packages. 😄

So what do you want her to think? “ I think I will piss on my car seat rather than try to relieve myself in a public place with as much dignity as two car doors will allow .What a shame I am caught in the perfect storm of being trapped in a traffic jam/ being five months pregnant with a baby bouncing on my bladder/ having a weak pelvic floor/ not having a penis/ being overlooked by perverts armed with cameras and no empathy. “

Moveoverdarlin · 30/04/2024 13:37

Go anywhere but not in somebody’s garden. I would report. It’s vile.

CountingCrones · 30/04/2024 13:40

Wow, @MarioIa‘s post is the most petty thing I have ever read on here, and that’s saying something.

May the capricious goddess of menopause wreak merry hell on your bladder function until you learn some empathy.

MarioIa · 30/04/2024 13:42

TheFairyCaravan · 30/04/2024 13:16

You sound utterly vile. That poor woman might have had health problems and there’s you and your partner taking some superior stance over her having a pee on some tarmac. I just couldn’t imagine being so mean and petty.

Maybe you ought to think about invisible disabilities before taking pictures next time

Does the same not apply to the delivery man?

Disgusting but I do wonder, where do delivery people 'go'???

In a bottle in the van if there’s no public loos.

Toilets in restaurants and petrol stations lol

Just as well I was taking the piss (pardon the pun).

I thought "I bet people would feel differently if it was a situation they might find themselves in rather than just some poor guy that just delivers their stuff".

Was not wrong....

Purplebunnie · 30/04/2024 13:02

What do you think the police do when on a stakeout, politely knock on the suspects door and ask to use the loo

Even female police?

MarioIa · 30/04/2024 13:46

And of course if you spend 50-60 hours a week driving around you're much more likely to be caught short than somebody that just drives to and from work.

I truly hope you suddenly are taken unawares by illness one day and you shit yourself in public.
How utterly repulsive of a man to take a photo of a woman in such a vulnerable circumstance. Jesus Christ. Vile.

AGodawfulsmallaffair · 30/04/2024 13:49

MarioIa · 30/04/2024 12:59

This is an age old myth, usually about truck drivers. No adult man can fit his penis into the top of a bottle, I remember a drunk ex and his mate trying when we were young and stuck on the motorway in a van.

I always assumed it was parents letting their kids wee in bottles when caught short.

Edited

I cleared out about 12 bottles of urine from a teenage boys bedroom - you’d be surprised. This was at work, not my house!

MotherofWhippets81 · 30/04/2024 13:49

I've had a job where I was on the road all day.

I've never felt the need to piss in someone's garden. McDonald's, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, some petrol stations etc all have toilets you can use.

Maybe it doesn't get factored in and that's not fair on the driver but still - I do wonder about people saying they wouldn't care about people unzipping and piddling by their front door.

Bullshit were you joking 😂

Pissing in a lay-by whilst stuck in traffic with no other options is, whilst still not desirable, very different to entering someone’s private property, exposing yourself and pissing on their garden. What if op hadn’t seen and went out to dig her weeds?

Bluevelvetsofa · 30/04/2024 13:52

@MarioIa I was once stuck in traffic on the M25 from 8.30am to 2.30pm. I eyed up every bush in case I absolutely had to leap out of the car and go. The motorway was a giant car park and no one went anywhere for six hours. It was not a happy experience.

Peeing in someone’s from garden though, is deeply unpleasant and delivery drivers must stop off for breaks at some point, so no excuse.

JustABitOfUncertainty · 30/04/2024 12:31

Supermarket? Petrol station? services? Fast food place? Anywhere but someone’s garden!

Berga · 30/04/2024 13:53

SwingTheMonkey · 30/04/2024 12:50

No. Just not relieve himself on someone’s property. Op isn’t responsible for this man’s access to toilet facilities.

To be honest I'd rather he hid behind a hedge and did it, than at the side of the road in full view. I might be a bit, oh yuck, if I saw someone pee in my garden and I'd probably go out and chuck some water over the area after he had gone, but I couldn't find it in myself to note down all the details of someone in a shit job, getting shit pay, and reporting them in the hope they got disciplined or sacked.

He wasn't "hidden" he was only hidden from passers by, I seen the whole thing including the pee! I have a child sat in the house and our living room faces out onto the garden, not sure how anyone thinks that is ok. I live 5 mins walk from a cafe and less than a mile from McDonald's which he had just came from!
