But the reality is British & western birth rates are rapidly declining whereas Muslim birth rates are not declining... Will things be the same in 30 or 50 years time for our children & grandchildren? It is valid question!

The tide is turning on the whole multicultural experiment.
If it takes right wing government across Europe to turn that tide once and for all then so be it.
It is happening already and I believe western Europe will be 100% right wing within the next 50 years.
We might have to spend a few generations under those regimes but if it that's the only way to protect our way of life then it will be done

Lottie2shoes · 29/04/2024 10:47

@Hélène79
Yes exactly. Too much misinformation being spread out there and I believe, genuinely that most of our lives, hopes and desires are very similar if not the same.

Hungary & Orban have already taken a very strong stance.
Sweden have admitted multiculturalism has failed in their country.

I think common sense is needed, personally.
Looking at some of these posts... I mean islamophobia and the whole taking over the world etc. Do they know how many Muslims live in this world? Is it not fact that the majority of Muslims are just living their lives as normal, with a house and the 2. 4 kids etc? Imagine if all these Muslims tried to do all these things that people are assuming they want to do.
I mean, just a snapshot of the area I live in, Muhammed down the road is working hard to provide for his family whereas Fatima is looking after the kids at home.
( I know I'm being stereotypical here, but I'm just showing that your typical muslim is not really looking to take over the world in real life).
Same as Jews, Christians, hindus etc. Day to day life, they are dealing with small world problems such as, does this outfit make me look fat? The kids are misbehaving again, shall I cut their device time or make them sit in the naughty corner?
I am not saying there aren't extremists. There are in every race, religion, city etc.
But we cannot tar with the same brush.
Another example being, what is happening in Palestine. It would be pretty stupid of me to just grab a jew on the street and start berating them.
Because I do not know how he or she actually feels about them.
Please do not let the scaremongering divide us further with a he said, she said.
We need as much peace and love in this world. It is already scary for everyone out there as it is

Edited

Where are the counter protests? Where are the ‘not in our name’ statements making a clear separation? How can a separation be made if the community is not making it clear themselves?

Yes because Europe was so peaceful and tolerant when it was last in the grips of right wing governments.

Is your post sarcastic or do you really believe this?

zoom1982 · 29/04/2024 10:56

@Lemoncakeandcoffee I cannot speak for the whole of the ME nor do I pretend to. I've lived in this particular country for ten years now and yes,it's extremely tolerant. We have a Jewish Synagogue,a Sikh temple, the most beautiful Catholic Catherdal, many Indian places of worship, many Christian churches. All are very well attended and all are very welcome. We live shoulder to shoulder with the local wonderful Muslim citizens who are kind, tolerant, respectful and all round lovely people. I absolutely love living here and I wouldn't go back to the UK with all it's ugly divisiveness if my life depended on it. Sorry if that doesn't fit your narrative.

Thanks for the excellent reply. It is a worry, I saw videos of the march in Hanbury & it appeared to be all young men, no women. Is that because the women don't agree or want a caliphate or they were not allowed protest?

Is that because the women don't agree or want a caliphate or they were not allowed protest?

You're just a caricature of yourself now. Did you think all the women at the Palestine protests were holographs?

Primroseoil · 29/04/2024 10:59

I can't understand why there are no women protesting? Do the women feel strongly enough that they do not want a caliphate or do those radical Islamists marching in Hamburg not allow women attend protests? Women silenced. And yes @KarmaCaramello where are the counter protesters & have Mosque leaders called out & distanced themselves from these men calling for a caliphate.

Were things the same for our grandparents 50 years ago as they are today?

Of course not. The world moves on. This thing about birth rates is a conspiracy theory. Ironically feeding into white supremacist terrorism that's been identified as a cause of lone wolf attacks.

Yawn, 2001 wants your post back.

Muslims are busy living their lives, running their businesses, taking care of their children and families, y'know, the people who matter.

They don't have time to protest specifically to mollify your tender sensibilities.

Have a look at all the videos online of the Hamburg protest. It is men only.

I'm wondering if this is cleverly timed for the local elections this week?

Susan, is that you? 🧐

My tender sensibilities of opposing Islamic rule? Why don’t you travel to Iran and see if it seems so precious then. I assume you’re a woman of course.

if I am part of a group with a sizeable violent extremist faction and none of the rest of the group condemns it, how can I demand people assume I don’t agree? You are taking people for idiots.

Lottie2shoes · 29/04/2024 11:05

@KarmaCaramello
Counter protests for what exactly? I don't see other people expecting counter protests for anything but as soon as some Muslims have done or said anything, suddenly there are cries for the counter protests.

There has been so many far right opinions in the press recently, some from our very own Mps. Yet I did not hear anyone saying there should be counter protests to "prove" that you do not agree.
Why should we always have to 'prove' to the public via protests that we do not agree.

I am a very private person. You are not going to get me up on a platform explaining away someone else's opinion/ rhetoric?
If you really want to know how I feel, come and ask me and I will tell you.
There are protests going on London about Palestine right now. I have never been. But all I have heard is negative stuff from some people whereas the majority of them seemed to be fine.

Why would I publicly protest to be tarred with the same brush as them?
Muslims always get a bad rep in the media, would I want to be seen as part of that?
No I would never counter protest in public. Doesn't mean I agree or disagree with other protests. Only way to find out is to ask me or get to know me.
The people that do know me, from all different walks of life I would like to add, know my opinions and my feelings.

ViscountessMelbourne · 29/04/2024 11:06

Primroseoil · 29/04/2024 10:24

And it can happen. The British birthrate has declined rapidly, the Muslim birthrate & the birthrates of other groups is also high so I'm years to come who knows.
This is a fact before anyone jumps down my throat, the British birth rate has radically declined.. British women are waiting until much later to have kids, due to cost of living or choice may only have one max 2 etc.. It's a lifestyle choice in a way. Abortions are widely avaliable & are socially acceptable in our society. So many factors...

You do realise that people can be both British and Muslim simultaneously? What happens to their birth rates then?

Birth rates are reducing worldwide, including in almost all Muslim countries.

DeadbeatYoda · 29/04/2024 11:07

People say all sorts of silly crap, why do you find this one frightening? Try to stay away from sensationalist right wing tabloids ( Sun, daily Mail etc) Gb news and racist organisations hiding under see the banner of patriotism. They talk utter rubbish; alarmist, nasty rubbish, designed to scare you into buying into their xenophobic lies. Seriously, there will be no caliphate in Germany. Reason it out. It is the third largest economy in the world and a leading member of the European Union. Please don't worry.

JudgeJ · 29/04/2024 11:08

They should be honest and call it what it is, Endloesung, (can't do umlauts), just what the Nazis called their policies to wipe people out.

Predictions for European Parliament elections are a shift to the right. By how much I’ll guess we’ll see in June.

It's going to happen here in the U.K.

Churches are falling by the wayside, derelict and unused. There are over 1,500 Mosques in the U.K. and London has the greatest amount of Mosques outside Turkey!

Some sources say there are nearer 3,000 Mosques -

www.nearestmosque.com/uk

Oh give over. Churches are going by the wayside because educated countries are growing out of religiosity - except the Americans, that is. They are bucking the trend.
