Worked in Dewsbury in public services, been schooled in Bradford have you @AdamRyan
I have. Close family lived in Berlin for years.
Seen issues with the education system in Birmingham. Seem English as a foreign language in areas of London schools and communities, etc etc.
What is rubbish about it from your experiences, @AdamRyan

It's right wing scaremongering nonsense is what's wrong with it. There hasn't been a "separation" of the school system in Birmingham, that was a hoax

I'm not sure what you think the issue is with "Seem English as a foreign language in areas of London schools and communities".

It's too late, it's going to happen here.

Why do you think there is a massive increase in pushing transgender.

A population of weak and feminised men will not be able to stand up and fight.

Well the joke's going to be on them when a commando squadron of transmen jacked up on testosterone with rippling muscles and pink white and blue AK47s ride in and save western civilisation.

It’s a Fox News story. The whole premise of FN is to scare one group of (white) people into hating other groups of (usually non white) people.

This is not going to happen.

So you're saying only white people watch FN? You have a very simplistic world view indeed, and quite an offensive one at that.

Noicant · 29/04/2024 09:07

I do think the concern should be that it happened not who reported it.

Why are you concerned about a tiny number of people protesting in Germany?

Seriously. 1100 people is nothing.

Fox News are reporting it because they have an agenda. Most demonstrations of that size wouldn't make the news at all, let alone internationally.

Rocknrollstar · 29/04/2024 09:17

The caliphate will be introduced gradually. there is already a desire for sharia law in parts of this country. The Muslim population is large and growing. It’s really a Handmaid’s Tale scenario.

that should have said ‘ using the Charlie Hebdo murders as an example’ ( not excuse).

Bravo! This Forum is an absolute disgrace of virtue signalling numpties trying to out do each other whilst mocking anyone who dares to hold an opinion that isn't in keeping. It's scary and laughable in equal measure.

ClareBlue · 29/04/2024 09:18

@IClaudine
If you Google Birmingham Islamic takeover of schools you will get BBC and other reputable links. Birmingham is just a high profile, not unique.
I have not offered any opinion in my posts about the validity of the issues I posted about. There could be very good reasons why the disconnected communities are being created for those communities.
All those saying it is all rubbish maybe Google that MN favourite beacon of Liberal and environmental progessivenes, Denmark, and see what concerns they have about disconnected communities and how they are dealing with them.
Our response at the moment is either extreme radicalisation against the communities as we are seeing, which is an indication of a complete failure on everyone's part and an even bigger problem, or close debate down and say it's all rubbish when anyone questions the narrative.

Are you in Germany?

No, but I don’t need to be in Germany to be able to read German news online.

1dayatatime · 29/04/2024 09:21

@Ponoka7

"My (Christian) Nigerian friends, here in the UK are having family and friends murdered daily, land is being stolen and girls kidnapped, by Muslim groups. They don't understand why this is just ignored. "

You raise a really interesting point here. I could also add that no did much about the 276 Christian school girls kidnapped by Islamic terrorist in Nigeria in 2014, with a 100 girls still missing. Or the ongoing slave trade in Sudan of black Christians by Arab Muslims:
www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-53147864.amp

In answer to your friend's questions of why this is being ignored is that the liberals in the UK would call out any criticism of persecution of Christians in Africa by Muslims as Islamophobia or racism or call out any criticism of the ongoing slave trade in Sudan in 2024 as hypocritical because the UK was engaged in slave trade up until its abolition in 1807.

So ironically one of the reasons that modern Africans face persecution because they are black and Christian and don't get any support from the West is because the liberals in the West would denounce any condemnation of this persecution as racist.

The logic is so messed up but in the meantime innocent black Christian school girls pay the price.

So you think a small demonstration is petrifying but the far right extremist Alternative for Germany (AfD) is currently polling 2nd at 22% and that doesn't bother you or Fox News?

Anything that veers from the accepted left is called far right these days and people are falling for it.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/04/2024 09:23

Yeah sure.🙄

This is why a Tory minister has just defected to Labour. He says his party is too right wing.

Is he the ‘accepted left?’ Cos he was a Tory minister for years.

1000 people at a protest in Germany, and one of them had a sign. It was an anti-Israel demonstration, so not sure why you think this means they are trying to bring a caliphate to Germany.

YABVVU. I suggest you go and talk to some real life Muslims rather than posting on the Internet. There is a lot of misinformation on this thread.

Can you read the sign, Adam?

It says ‘Caliphate is the Solution’.

The protest is happening in Germany. ‘Caliphate is the Solution’. I can easily see why people think this ‘means that they are trying to bring a caliphate to Germany’. And that is without reference to the nature of historical caliphates and their expansionist nature, or to more modern attempts at creating a caliphate that crossed international borders.

I am surprised that only one poster has picked up on the language used. When was the term ‘Lösung’ last used in a similar context in Germany? Any guesses?

Back then, people were calling for ‘Endlösung’. That was ‘the Final Solution’. 6 million people were murdered in a mechanised, industrial method. You wouldn’t want waste time dealing with people individually when you can just group them together, after all.

Now, I am using the word ‘people’. The death toll was, of course, much higher. But the six million ‘people’ that faced the Final Solution were all Jewish.

Calling for a Caliphate as a Solution when anti-semitism is on the rise all the way around the world? Yes, I do think this warrants publicity and discussion because I really don’t want another European (or world) war to break out.

And I don’t blame people for being worried about this.

Isn't it strange how different people can have different views of the same thing.

As a Muslim, I did wonder whether to write a post or not as I know I will get flamed etc.
But just wanted to put out there another opinion as I've read alot on this thread about separation and how all Muslims want caliphate etc.
The majority of Muslims I know, including my family just want to live normal peaceful lives. Being able to follow our faith but not affect anyone else.

I pray in my own home, eat halal food etc, wear a hijab but I would never expect others whether they are Muslim or not to do the same. All the Muslims I know are also like this.
I funnily enough, also like interactions with non Muslims and chat on a weekly if not daily basis with people of all different faiths. I have no problems with them.
But as a Muslim, when I hear people talk of no go areas, the whole rhetoric of separate lives and how Muslims wish to take over the world.... people then coming on and saying islamophobic stuff, it does make me be wary of talking to new people wondering if the majority of people feel the same. Then it's a catch 22 because then I do stick to the people I know (ie people similar to me) which probably creates the no go areasÛ”

People hearing about the other "sides" hatred with inflammatory posts like we are scared of the Muslims and they all "West " hating people etcÛ” (and vice versa)
This is actually what had divided us and separated us and then we hear all about the segregation, not realising our actions have caused that.
I grew up with Muslims and non Muslims and never had any issues at all. They were respectful of us, just as we were respectful of their values. Its just this last 10/20 years or so, its become more of an issue.

Probably worth always bearing in mind that:

  1. political parties often plop posts on here to test the water
  2. there is a general election looming
  3. polling yesterday showed Reform ahead of the LibDems in third place in GE voting intentions, and likely looking for ways to increase that.

I'm a mother not a politician, I saw the Fox News story online & Googled it & saw lots of other media sites have also covered it!!! Jesus as a mother of girls I have every right to be bloody concerned!
Germany is not far from us, it doesn't take long for these protests to sweep a continent especially these days with social media
I will not be gaslit.

In your opinion.

123anotherday · 29/04/2024 09:34

as has already been said by numerous posters, the rise of the far right in Europe is far, far more concerning ( and is a reaction to liberal asylum policies and illegal immigration) - it was one of the reasons I was glad to be out of the EU as its been driving increasing racism amongst the traditionally right wing populations in many EU countries. Nobody ever talks about the asylum seekers living in tents in Dublin for eg., people only ever talk about the UK being racist and anti-immigrant.

ClareBlue · 29/04/2024 09:35

It's so ingrained to deflect discussion in this area that people do it without even thinking about it.
So the post is about concern about the call for Caliphate by a small group in Germany. Resonable topic for reasoned duscussion on a forum without involving hatred or bigatorary.
What do we get:
You are a fool for using that news source (it's every news source), swing the discussion to different news sources and if they are bias.
Your emotional response is all wrong. Swing the discussion to if you should be petrified, scared, worried, slightly concerned, not concerned,
You are being racists, general default position with no evidence.
It's only 1100 people, well so we're any radical groups when they start up.
The right wing are worse you should be talking about them (maybe we should, but not on this thread as it's not the topic).
OP now feels terrible and wishes they never started a discussion.
Complete deflection and debate closed. Job done. Move on.

Great migration result. Groups who come to a country and then want it to be identical to the one they left.

This is exactly the conversation the OP and posters like you want to have.

Regardless of facts. And regardless of how it makes Muslims (and anyone non- White British) feel.

You are being racists, general default position with no evidence.
The evidence is jumping on a thread about a small protest in another country to extrapolate to how Europe is at risk of becoming a caliphate and WW3 will start as a result. Including a bunch of conspiracy theories for good measure.

I don't know why MNHQ are leaving this up, the thread is appalling imo.
