Mines coffee. The whole coffee culture made me feel very bland for just wanting a cuppa when out with friends but in my 30's I finally realised it just wasn't for me.

I don't like fizzy alcohol.

Cava
Champagne
Prosecco

🤮🤮🤮

LindorDoubleChoc · 25/04/2024 19:22

Tuna steaks - NO!

Love a bit of canned tuna though. I'm proably just common.

peakygold · 25/04/2024 19:22

Warm bread. It smells like bleach.

LindorDoubleChoc · 25/04/2024 19:23

Plain yogurt. I need a bit of fruit, sugar or honey in it. Such a pleb!

Yeah me too 😀

StStephensTower · 25/04/2024 19:23

Carrots
any sort of fruit tea

If I don't like something I wouldn't eat/drink it again. I know straight away, I don't have to finally admit it to myself.

Tastes change though, or someone might have cooked something particularly badly.

I couldn't eat olives until I was in my 30s. I love them now.

I tried mussels in a harbour restaurant in France - still don't like them, so I think that's a given!

schnubbins · 25/04/2024 19:25

Takeaway..eat it and feel sick every time .no matter what type but Chinese is the worst .I never really enjoy it .I prefer my own cooking or a piece of cheese and some bread and a glass of wine,

NahNeedsGarlic · 25/04/2024 19:27

Cheesecake. Takes like sour milk with a spoonful of sugar added. 🤢
On top of soggy pressed biscuit.

JanglingJack · 25/04/2024 19:30

Green tea - absolutely! However... Bear with me

Green tea with peppermint (all in the same teabag) with a teaspoon of honey - I'd have 2 cups! 😂. Trust me, try it.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 25/04/2024 19:35

Chips. Kind of potatoes in general, but they are the worst.

Notreat · 25/04/2024 19:37

alcohol, goats cheese,

Xmasbaby11 · 25/04/2024 19:37

olives

I’ve tried but just not a fan! Especially black olives.

Renamed · 25/04/2024 19:38

Bitter. I used to drink it, and vaguely know which pubs had the better ones - then I more or less stopped going to pubs . The next time I tried bitter - ugh.

AhBiscuits · 25/04/2024 19:40

Tomatoes. I've eaten them thousands of times, thinking I'd like them eventually but I just don't.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 25/04/2024 19:43

Fruit teas. They look pretty, smell lovely but taste like astringent, watered down dust.

Chocolate. Doesn't matter how expensive or whether it's made an extra revolting texture due to palm oil, I just don't like it.

White chocolate. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Mango - it tastes soapy to me. Lychees do as well.

Persimmon.

Biscuits and cakes. Coeliac means they're not part of my diet anymore, but I don't miss them at all.

Icing. Revolting stuff - royal, buttercream, glace, all horrible - just don't like it at all; just as well it's only ever found on cakes and biscuits, really.

Do you think it’s the travel time and it going cold? I’m not a fan of Chinese food, but I don’t really think I’ve had that much of it. I absolutely love sushi takeaway though! We are very lucky and have some excellent restaurants near us that deliver, so things like sushi and Middle Eastern restaurants with coal grilled meats and all the amazing dips are great for a midweek meal when we are short on time. I love cooking, but never fancy making sushi or firing up the bbq at 9pm on a weekday!!

ArcticBells · 25/04/2024 19:47

Olives. I've really tried.

MuscariFan · 25/04/2024 19:48

Chocolate cake - more accurately, 95% of chocolate cake is dire and not worth eating, and I’ve given up expecting the lovely 5%.

Lurkingandlearning · 25/04/2024 19:54

@NeverEnoughPants I think the OP is referring to things that are generally popular a sort of FOMO thing

peacocksuite · 25/04/2024 19:55

Prosecco is so overrated, I only drink it to be polite now. Can't believe I had it at ny wedding (it was in Italy though).

Cured meat, smoked salmon, normal salmon, trout.

Cordials.

Any slow cooked meat or 'pulled' meat.

Burgers.

Risotto, polenta, gnocchi.

'weird' cheese with chilli or sweet bits in. I like artisan cheese but this is gimmicky

I feel a Nicky Haslam tea towel moment coming on.

Salted caramel

I’m not surprised, you’re probably sick of it as for the last what 7 years, every restaurant/cafe even the supermarket is stuffed full of salted caramel this that and the other.

StarbucksQueen1 · 25/04/2024 19:58

Green tea too
Courgettes.. hot, watery cucumbers eurgh!

EerieSilence · 25/04/2024 19:58

coffee, salmon, oysters

BettyOBarley · 25/04/2024 19:59

Chocolate fudge cake

I'm a massive chocolate lover, but for some reason chocolate cake just doesn't hit the spot.
