Mines coffee. The whole coffee culture made me feel very bland for just wanting a cuppa when out with friends but in my 30's I finally realised it just wasn't for me.

Gin and tonic. I order it 75% of the time when I'm out and every time I'm disappointed 😂

Soozikinzii · 25/04/2024 18:39

Wine

WhichEllie · 25/04/2024 18:40

Bell peppers. I really want to like them but I just don’t.

WaterDroplet · 25/04/2024 18:40

@NeverEnoughPants I think for next it was the sort of cafe culture that coffee was an event or a place to be with friends. Many of my friends in my previous job were Muslim so going out for coffee was like going to a bar. Everyone would be gushing over expensive fancy coffees and I'd just want a hotq tea!

Prosecco
Gin
Salted Caramel
Any kind of alcoholic/Irish coffee.

I seem to be alone among my immediate circle with that list

Wine
Champagne
Prosecco. I enjoy drinking but those three taste like horse piss

Horses piss 🤣

FrannieGallops · 25/04/2024 18:42

My friends and family take the piss out of me for not liking coffee. Even our kids think I’m terribly unsophisticated. But I just don’t like it.

Gnocchi. I keep thinking, that would be a nice change from pasta. It's horrible every time.

Same. Horrible little blobs.

I don't understand this. Surely you either like something or you don't?

There are things I don't like eg coffee and raw tomatoes - but I've always known I don't like them. Why pretend?

Genuine question, I just don't get it.

For me some foods I hate and know I hate eggs, mushrooms, bananas.
Other foods however, I kind of like the idea of so keep trying and regretting. Like Chinese Takeaway for example. Most people love it and say try this dish or that dish and I think this might be the one I like, but no.
Sometimes it works too, broccoli and Stilton soup is one. I love broccoli and love Stilton but the soup was always slimy to me, until a friend made some and I loved it.

Chip shop chips

Wearegoingtoneedabiggerboat · 25/04/2024 18:44

Tea. I occasionally have one to see whether I can enjoy it. Not succeeded yet . It just leaves an awful aftertaste.

TipsyKoala · 25/04/2024 18:45

Sushi. I used to get sushi sometimes because there was a time when everyone raved about how amazing it is. It’s slimy raw fish on cold rice. No thanks.

StormingNorman · 25/04/2024 18:46

Hot Chocolate. It looks so much fun with the squirty cream and marshmallows but it’s awful every time. I need another drink to wash the taste and dryness away 😂

Cnidarian · 25/04/2024 18:47

Well I love pretty much everything other people have said.....mine is beer. Just done with it, don't want it d9nt like it give me a dry white

Mammma91 · 25/04/2024 18:48

Mushrooms. Can’t have them in the house, they make me gag.

Justrolledmyeyesoutloud · 25/04/2024 18:48

Chinese takeaway
Red wine
Sweet potato

FrannieGallops · 25/04/2024 18:48

Oysters. My husband and kids adore them. I have never even been brave enough to try one.

Salted caramel

This.

Who decided that salt in caramel is a good idea? Like adding saltiness makes it sophisticated and not for children?
It just ruins delicious caramel.

Whatabouteryallaboutery · 25/04/2024 18:50

Chilli chocolate. Like chilli. Like chocolate. But together they're a horrible clarty mess.

Wolfcub · 25/04/2024 18:51

Truffle. Awful stuff

lemonyfox · 25/04/2024 18:51

Egg yolks

LadyKenya · 25/04/2024 18:51

Crab. I finally called it a day, trying to like it, after having bought a tub of crab pate from M&S. I mistakenly thought it might be a bit nicer, for some reason. it was🤢 I have tried dressed crab as well, I should mention🦀

TranquilWater · 25/04/2024 18:51

Spaghetti Carbonara. I’ve tried to like it, and every so often I try again, but nope, it’s wasted on me.

LaughterLentil · 25/04/2024 18:53
