I'm white, working class background, DH is a chimney sweep. We've got cleaners, retail workers, factory workers, a school caretaker and clerical workers in the wider family. That bunch don't represent us.

BLM was a movement with a point - a valid one - running with a flag and a pint shouting at people doesn't seem valid - so yes, thanks for being patient - do I get my horse now?

Just the ones who schlep up to those sorts of events. They're of the same ilk who were foul to me as a kid, who would scream abuse from vehicles when we were walking home from school as teenagers, use racist terminology as default, make nasty comments about smells and hygiene about the poorer or other ethnicity kids, share racist jokes, idiotic Britain First posts on Facebook as adults, etc, etc.

Don't confuse despising them and all that they stand for as being indicative of having a middleclass upbringing. Being stuck with them in sink schools from 5-16 and then assorted council estates for a further twenty years was quite enough for me, thanks.

It's because the flag of St George has been hijacked by the right wing espousing the values that England and the rest of the UK don't. They make Enoch Powell sound civilised.

The BLM riots involved lots of drunk people running and shouting abuse at police, starting fires etc. Much worse than this small protest. But that's not a truth people want to discuss is it 🙂

No one is deriding the working class on this thread. Posters are deriding trouble making, far right thugs. Regardless of their class. No one could possible consider Lozza working class.

I though I had discussed it - I said I felt the BLM movement had a purpose and a genuine reason to exist - I don't condone rioting but I 100% support the movement - what movement are these fat, red faced, flag waving people representing?

So you condemn the black rioters who acted criminally and attacked police, innocent people and businesses? Just want to be clear.

But just as those rioting during BLM protests don't represent the entire BLM movement or black people - the fat flag wavers don't represent the working class so stop pretending they do
