More avoidance. Oh my goodness it's painful. Thuggery isn't exclusive to whites, there were a great deal of black thugs on full display at BLM. Why do people find that so hard to accept?

I totally agree with that. The UK is a mess right now and most of us have been royally fucked over this past number of years. Britain is rightfully angry but these marches and the speakers at them are a symptom of that. They are not a solution to our problems.

It's strange how arrests around st Patrick day or st David's day are not raised in the press. At the st George's day event there were 6. Yes 6 naughty people out of thousands. It's also strange that week after week pro Palestine protests occur. In November over 100 of them were arrested but no liberal middle class person came on here and condemned them.
But because the English want to celebrate being English immediately it's right wing thugs, the edl, groups linked to football clubs!!

I'm English and proud to be so. Do I support idiots who have a go at the police no I do not. Do I support people who say only white people can be English, no.

The English are a strange breed, we adapt, we adopt and we broaden ourselves.
Our saint, never came to England...he was either Turkish or Armenian.

Marginalised white people with not much going for them find this as an outlet in a lot of cases ,out pouring for foreign causes and this is the British stand against this.ive met and mixed with extreme far right people and their beliefs are frightening and dangerous.

So BLM riots are fine, all the eco-ambulance-stopping shits are fine, pro-hamas-supposedly-for-Palestiners are fine, but this lot are 'violent disgusting thugs'. It's either one or the other, can't be both.

The point I'm making is that the police had already made up their mind about this parade, or march, or whatever it was. They put out a tweet to say they expected Far Right people to be on the march. They put rules in place about where they could parade and pretty much pinned them to a small square of pavement. They kettled them almost immediately, they used riot gear and horses, they increased stop and search powers and removal of masks. Most of the unrest happened after the police took immediately aggressive action, not before.

None of these tactics have been used at the pro-Palestine marches which is why they are so 'peaceful'. Even people waving flags with Nazi swastikas on them don't get arrested in a hurry or until someone complains. They reserve that for lone Jewish men walking down the street.

To suggest that this is balanced and fair policing is laughable. And I have no particular allegiance with either group, just observing and stating facts.

Did people who have brown skin get threatened with arrest because their safety couldn't be guaranteed? If not then things are getting better in London, because that has been the situation for Jewish people.
