AIBU in noticing a increase in radical feminism on MN?

I'm not talking regular old feminism where equal rights are the goal, I'm sure we can all agree on that being important.

But there is a level of extremism emerging that goes from dizzying entitlement to outright man hating.

What gives?

Why were they called 99s? They didn't cost 99p.

Why do you think you're seeing this increase? and why do you think some women are being more vocal about this and why are some women being more honest about this?

Well, women are not being given Milk Tray these days. We've swapped Milk Tray and a bunch of flowers for stupid things like maternity leave and bank accounts. Naturally this makes us ladies very angry.

Hence the radicalness. That's why we're so grateful for op volunteering to do the sweetie run.

I'd say with a lot of current issues it's more like
Critical thinking + attempts by others to shut down that critical thinking = radicalization

Gender ideology for one.

People try to express fears related to say rapists with penises going into womens jails, they are shut down with PC nonsense, it's incredibly frustrating and infuriating so that leads to radicalization.

Maybe you should go to a male dominated forum and see the wonderful gender equality going on there. I am sure you police those forums too.

Imo anyone who voluntarily has raisins in anything after 1940 should be on some kind of watch list. Especially if you try and sneak them in where chocolate chips should be.

I've not joined that long ago but I felt it was just me noticing hatred like that.

I initiated a thread about the ever s0 easy attitude of leave the other half, often/99% of the time a man - mums netters say "leave the bastard/bitch" aka "LTB" which I had to ask about, ie what the LTB stood for.

I wish that misogynist men who hate women, hated them in the way that those posters apparently "hate" men. There would be a lot fewer violent attacks and sexual assaults on women for a start.

And MN has been advising women to LTB for a very long time now, it's not a recent change. In nearly all cases it's reasonable advice, and often other posters give different advice if the OP doesn't want to LTB. Because MN is not a hive mind, funnily enough.

To be honest the last few threads I've seen where ltb was employed were:

Someone whose husband tried to make her cover up if she didn't want sex and tracked her movements, accused her of cheating, sexually assaulted her while she slept so she had to sleep separately.

The ltb was nearly unanimous and warranted.

The other was someone's husband had eaten all the posh Penguins in the biscuit tin. The ltb was again unanimous. Very clearly a joke though.

That tends to be the two main ways ltb comes up, so people who complain about it I assume have no boundaries or no sense of humour.
