Several times a week for me.

Maybe every three weeks. I prefer dark chocolate but it = migraines for me so I never eat dark now. I might have a small piece of milk chocolate every three weeks or so. It may or may not end up in a migraine too so I never really enjoy it though.

dudsville · 16/04/2024 20:22

Not daily, maybe weekly? I get a very rich chocolate cake for my birthday, we used to give each other chocolate for anniversaries and christmas but i can get a little bored of that, and these are my indulgent times, but other than that I have a piece or two, randomly, not daily. I used to work hard to break the addiction, now i don't think of it and even writing about this doesn't tempt me to get some. We have lots of chocolate and other sweets in the house. However, very randomly, maybe once a year, I'll buy one of those large chocolate bars and eat most of it in one go!

dontforgetme · 16/04/2024 20:24

Everyday. I am very overweight and today is the first day in years that I haven't had some form of chocolate. My dd took a photo of me on Sunday and it's knocked me sick!

jengachampion · 16/04/2024 20:26

I get a craving for it every once in a while

dottydodah · 16/04/2024 20:31

Jellycatspyjamas Me too! Nan used to say "After all ,Chocolates a food " Who could argue with that?

DelilahBucket · 16/04/2024 20:33

Actual chocolate bars, maybe a couple a month. A chocolate digestive for example, a couple of times a week I'll have one or two with a cuppa.

EffinMagicFairy · 16/04/2024 20:34

Every day, a large square of dark choc, it’s supposed to be good for you.

Bigcoatweather · 16/04/2024 20:35

I have one square of dark chocolate with sea salt every day as my treat

Zanatdy · 16/04/2024 20:36

Every day. But it’s either a mini milkybar (65 cals) or the Whitworth cranberry and white choc shots. I love chocolate but don’t ever eat a big bar as I’m always on some kind of diet or gearing up for one. My biggest downfall is ice cream. Since lockdown 1 I’ve been addicted to Oppo Salted caramel (before that flavour a pecan one). It’s £5.50 a tub so I’m glad when Tesco have it out of stock as I end up buying every week and it’s gone fast!

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 16/04/2024 20:39

Normally most days, but currently on WeightWatchers so far, far less unfortunately!

Fivebyfive2 · 16/04/2024 20:40

Every day. It's my one "thing" - I don't drink, smoke or eat fried food or really rich creamy things (I would but it doesn't agree with me!) So you can pry the dairy milk/galaxy/chocolate orange out of my cold dead hand.

Have you noticed any supply issues? My Aldi hasn't had any in weeks. The whole box of three flavours is missing so not a build up of the least liked one. I've been having to go to Lidl and it's harder to stop at two squares instead of an individually wrapped bar.

Yes, I've failed to buy it in a couple of Aldis in the past month and my floating stock has now run out.

Jumpingthruhoops · 16/04/2024 20:46

Two squares of a dark choc bar after every evening meal. I follow a very healthy diet and that's my one little 'naughty' treat!

Iritatedbyarguingmn · 16/04/2024 20:49

I aim to eat it once a week as a Friday night treat but normally end up having a bar 2/3 times a week . High cholesterol despite a veggie diet and minimal alcohol , DM had type 2 diabetes so I need to get that and the cheese habit under control

Judijudi · 16/04/2024 20:53

I gave it up for lent (6weeks) and have only had it a couple of times since. Seems to have certainly broke the habit, I probably had chocolate about 5 times a week before

RM2013 · 16/04/2024 20:55

I try and have it as a once a week treat but since we have had Easter, my birthday and sons birthday so we have loads in the house so I’ve been eating it every day 🤦‍♀️

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 16/04/2024 20:57

My weakness is chocolate peanuts, just about the single most calorific thing you can buy. A bag of sainsburys ones aren't far off 1000 calories and I can eat the whole bag in one go😑

MyOtherHusbandIsAWash · 16/04/2024 20:58

Most days. I can’t have dairy so buy 70% dark (usually Lindt or Hotel Chocolat) and as it’s very ‘chocolatey’ a square or two after dinner is enough. My waistline couldn’t take more anyway!

Kalevala · 16/04/2024 20:59

BogRollBOGOF · 16/04/2024 20:46

Yes, I've failed to buy it in a couple of Aldis in the past month and my floating stock has now run out.

Wonder if it's anything to do with the price of cocoa? I was disappointed when lidl stopped the 95%!

tulippa · 16/04/2024 21:04

I don't eat it very often. I'm more of a crisps and peanuts person and there's a lot of chocolate I don't like (dark, mint, orange, with nuts in, liqueur, praline) so it's quite easy for me to avoid.

BigMandyHarris · 16/04/2024 21:06

Rarely, a few times a year maybe

StormingNorman · 16/04/2024 21:07

Daily. Often a Curly Wurley.

renomeno · 16/04/2024 21:16

@Kalevala same here, none to be found for the last couple of weeks. I've bought some 85% from M&S but it's not got much flavour ☹️

ChicagoBears · 16/04/2024 21:21

I’ll eat chocolates on occasions so Easter, Christmas and my birthday. I’m not overly keen on chocolate, sweets on the other hand is a different matter which is why I hardly ever have them in the house!

ohthejoys21 · 16/04/2024 21:57

Used to eat it around 3 times a week but my bad cholesterol is no good now.. surprise! So now don't have it in the house
