Obvs name changed for this one!

I have come to Butins Skegness as a family and our fairground apartment is FILTHY! there is mould on the ceiling above the kids bed and round the kitchen window, poo on the bathroom door, blood on the curtains, sauce all over the microwave, brown ick all over the kettle, the floors haven't been swept or hovered and there's hair and blood on the master bed! Is this the standard I expect here? I'm just about ready to pack up and head home! They have offered us another apartment but I have to take all the stuff down 2 flights of stairs rather back up another 2 flights! Ita also eaten.the first couple of hours of our holiday and really taken the shine off.

AIBU is this what you expect when you pay to come to butlins?

I was in Seaside Apartments at Skegness last week. It was very clean but I did lose an earring so let me know if you find it Grin

We went there when ds was a toddler, we all came home with food poisoning from Burger King on site, it was the only place we ate out at.

They are offering an activity voucher and £30 onsite vouchers. I'm I being bad saying this is not good enough?

I guess it depends howich you paid. Ok think if it's less than 10 % of you overall booking cost it's unreasonable.

I would go home

you could not pay me enough to holiday in the the UK, what a dump

It's about 5% of what we paid! It's ok, though. I said nope, and they gave us VIP access and a voucher for the go carts. That is OK. I can live with that, but we won't be back, but I may adventure to the other Butlins sites they seem to have it together a bit more!

VIP access is okay.

I'm actually dreading going in May now.

I remember in bognor I found blue diamond pills but they were on the shelf.

Just go onto Trip advisor next time. You will see how bad the reviews are if you look at most recent.

Regardless of the cost, you are fully entitled to expect spotlessly clean accommodation that does not jeopardise your family's health or safety. End of.

Butlins are in breech of their service level agreement and have broken their contract with you.
Ignore those people sneering. They should be ashamed of themselves, and personally their behaviour disgusts me that they look down on those less fortunate than themselves.
