Bullshitter at work - could this be true?

There's a woman at work who is basically full of lies. A few people have fallen for it , but in order to have done everything she's done, she would need to be 200 years old.
Her latest tale is that she was caught speeding on the motorway at 120mph but the police let her off with a warning. Surely that cannot be true? I was under the impression that the police always act on speeding that is this dramatic. What do you guys think?

It’s true! There was a woman on TV who played the violin while she had brain surgery so the surgeon could make sure he hadn’t “nicked” the wrong bit (that’s brain surgeon speak 😂)

It's really sad.

People who have had extraordinary lives tend to realise that people won't believe them so tend to stay quiet.

It's just embarrassing.

I'd ignore her tbh. I'd find it too cringey to give the time of day or emotional space . to her stories.

I knew someone like this as a teenager, we nicknamed him Jackanory.

I do understand this concept and have seen it. She was not having brain surgery though. Or any other surgery where they needed a helping hand she is also not at all qualified in any surgery (yet) I guess I'll have to wait til tomorrow to see if she became a brain surgeon or an astronaut this weekend

@pinkstripeycat yes FIL had brain surgery while awake.

He wasn't wearing an oxygen mask though or telling them how to conduct his own operation! 😄

The massive fantasies are interesting, no doubt about it. They're so child-like, it'd be interesting to know the reasons behind it.

I'm sure a lot of us concoct outrageous fantasies in our heads - there have been some very funny threads on here about this - but most of us don't say them out loud!

But, in work, having to listen to stuff like this, must be really tedious.
What if she lies about something really important? This behaviour has the potential to be harmful.

I absolutely have not been confrontational at all my opinion was why do you even care that is my opinion so I don’t get why you are being mean to me ..me personally I would let it go over my head it wouldn’t bother me that’s why I put why do you even care ..hope that’s cleared everything up for you and you realise I wasn’t being confrontational and feel now that I have to defend myself
