Tue was a 12 hour day and was up since 4 working

The next fcking day to be looked after

I text back that I was not even home yet

She didn't respond

I was so angry/tired/ bewildered to go bat shit

SHE DIDNT TEXT AFTER TO EVEN SAY SORRY OR TO THANK me

I'm so done with letting this shit happen

Sorry I just need to vent

Next time she asks I need a firm response

No doesn't seem to work as she has been known to come up anyway and say she has no one

I'm a single parent and I work from home

She has dropped her kids to me many times while I work from home

If you know where CF is having brunch then your sister definitely needs to go and drop them off.
In future she needs to say no, every single time! Not an hour. Not half an hour. Just a big fat NO!

Exactly

And the posters who said I took the easy option when I said I was not allowed kids at home while wfh were right

I should have said
Why are your kids my responsibility
I'm busting my guts to pay my debt off by end of this summer
I'm not available for her
And when she drops to my sister it sometimes impacts on me as I have to step in to help with some pick ups and drop offs for her kids
She has a teeny car and not enough car seats

Why have so many kids when you palm them off
Her father is right to book long trips away each summer otherwise she lands up early to his door with the kids

Fck that

I'm not her slave now
Just fuming today

And thanks all there was so many great ideas on here

Sorry I came across badly, I was actually standing up for your sister! Of course she is not stupid, she is a doctor so obviously highly intelligent! She won’t be long getting rid of this leech now either I hope.
This CF is just going to move on to the next person, and it could be anyone.
your poor sister

Testina · 13/04/2024 11:39

And they don't like dogs so dogs had to be locked up in the garage
Fck sake !!!!!!!

Your sister doesn’t sound l like a responsible dog owner.

Sorry yes I agree

Got you

Really pissed me off today

Silly mare
And so entitled

(My sisters dogs wouldn't hurt a fly
Cf kids not used to dogs )

I see this all the time, people do bad things to you but when they do them to someone you love, like your children or you sister, you see them for what the are (bad) and you get furious.

What an absolute wagon to dump her children off on your sister like that. Not surprised you are furious, but be furious for yourself too! You deserve better too.

Testina · 13/04/2024 11:45

Look, you’re the one presenting the dogs in garage as an issue. If it’s not a problem for the dogs, why mention it?

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2024 11:49

Your sister needs to drop them off at this brunch and tell CF it won't happen again. Those poor kids.

She has no way to take them there and I'm working

She text CF but no response

thisisasurvivor · 13/04/2024 11:58

I disagree with you @Testina

CF asked for dogs to go out of house
Kids are scared of dogs

Raining so they are in the large garage
They have beds, food and water in there

It is a CF request that annoys me

Fck sake

thisisasurvivor · 13/04/2024 11:59

If it was an emergency i get it

Or you have been late to return from work and need help

You have a bloody brunch to attend
Will maybe pay for child care

You can afford a brunch in a lovely setting

We are the mugs clearly

Whatwaswrongwiththatusername · 13/04/2024 12:05

Maybe your sister should post, publicly, on cf's instagram that she needs to stop taking the piss and she's got an hour to get there and pick her child up. Maybe she should "accidentally" make numerous posts...

AhNowTed · 13/04/2024 12:07

Where's the husband today?

Would be so tempted

But could it back fire??!!

Could this be the day when we are both adamant that she does not walk over us again?

My sisters knows what she is like

Got stung before when an hour of baby sitting turned a 1am finish she 'lost track of time'

Cheeky cheeky

We have so few family members to help us

She has all grandparents
Sister in laws
Neighbours
Cousins

Or maybe pay an actual childminder

She has the money
She always did

Where's the husband today?

He is a part time farmer
Saturday is his farming day

He purchased new land recently

😝🙄🙄🙄

No shortage of money clearly

OP posts:
Halfemptyhalfling · 13/04/2024 12:13

Can you say I'm struggling financially at the moment so I am working long hours so I will be charging £30 and hour dropping children off with me.

That should put her off or it's a decent earner...

AhNowTed · 13/04/2024 12:16

So he's doing his hobby.

Nobody "farms" one day a week.

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2024 12:21

Do you know where the brunch is happening? Can your sister ring the place and ask them to tell CFer she needs to get back immediately - outbreak of fedupofthisshititis and kids must be collected asap.

KidsandKindness · 13/04/2024 12:25

If you know where she is, then tell your sister to contact the restaurant, and ask the manager to make an announcement that she is needed URGENTLY, as her child has been badly hurt. If she texts to see what's wrong, then don't answer, same if she calls. Then when she gets there say and says 'what's happened, the restaurant says one of the kids has been badly hurt?' At that point your sister can say 'Oh yes, that was a lie, and just about as big a one as you telling me you only needed me to look after your kids for ONE hour! Now fuck off, and don't even think of dumping your kids on me or my sister again'. That should do it OP.

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2024 12:27

Great minds ...

I'm really very tempted to do this

My sister said
No

She is annoyed but not going to say anything today

She can't commit to taking them again

It's the cfckery
It's having to rearrange the day
Having to provide food
The toll it takes after a long busy week of work

Just pay someone
Just be upfront
I need them here from 8 to 3
Be honest
Let people know the score

thisisasurvivor · 13/04/2024 12:40

I'm not sure I would have always said we are walk overs

Not always

She seems to wrangle it somehow if that makes sense

But all the advice was so spot on

How the hell cN you leave at 8 for brunch
She prob got hair done

OP posts:
dapsnotplimsolls · 13/04/2024 12:45

She's not going to say anything today? FFS. CFer will think it's ok to do it again. And again ...
