To be furious with the Joke Party?

IClaudine · 27/03/2024 09:18

Jonathan Gullis a party chair.

The ridiculous, lying, AI generated videos with the American B movie voiceover.

Blaming the sick and disabled for the state of the economy.

Meanwhile, children are going to school hungry, in dirty clothes and tired as they are living in conditions that don't enable proper sleep. The NHS is crumbling.

The Tory government is no longer a functioning government. It is a corpse, shambling towards its final demise.

AIBU to be furious and sickened and to wonder how on earth anyone could now bring themselves to vote Tory?

But why didn't Churchill reverse it rather than add charges for treatment in 1952?

On a wider note, why don't any incoming governments just reverse the previous governments laws ? For all their bellyaching, I notice the Tories didn't (and haven't) repealed the HRA. Similarly nuLab decided Tory union laws were a Rather Good Idea.

DuncinToffee · 31/03/2024 18:04

Might as well go the whole way

But Keir Hardie!!

If we are looking for who to blame for the whole stupid idea of free healthcare, then surely Jesus needs to take some responsibility ?

But Winston Churchill!

Churchill?

Didn't he have meetings with Stalin? That surely makes him a communist symphathiser at least, possibly a full on commie.

Do he or his parents count as economic migrants, seeing as how they moved around I feel its possible.

I think we ought to know the truth.

Nope. They're just kissing the arse of the supposed 'ant-woke brigade' for votes.

They give zero shits about women's rights.

Yup.

The Tory party is firmly corrupt, morally bankrupt, callous and incompetent. This government is an absolute disgrace, and having spent decades being completely non-judgmental about other people's politics, I judge the fuck out of Tory voters now.

Voting for more of this inept, hideous madness is insane.

His majority is only 6,000 so he'll be out at the GE.

I've just heard that Tory HQ have released another dodgy video, this time about Birmingham!

I think they're sneakily trying to imprint ideas into peoples heads, before they then have to withdraw/edit.

I find all these dirty tactics cringey and lacking sophistication and they are are at the production level of amateur porn from the 80s. They are idiots, but think they are really clever because they have read a few chapters on behaviour change psychology.

I'm past the anger now, I'm just embarrassed really. We are an utter laughing stock.

Yet they just lie, lie, lie and think that's fine. Won't account for any mistakes they have made at all.

What exactly are they doing all day?

Soukmyfalafel · 31/03/2024 23:28

Have we heard the "but Jeremy Corbyn" excuse yet or are we still working through the "but they know what a woman is" arguement.

Sadly, it's always the former right now. Starting to feel it's just an excuse tbh.

One for the Christians ! "As ye sow .. so shall ye reap".

I think this headline nails why nothing Rish! does is making a difference. And not only is it richly ironic and deserved. It also suggests that following a "more of the same" approach (i.e. Rish!s Big Plan) will be good money after bad.

Public ‘stopped listening’ to Tories as poll shows electoral disaster

The constituency forecast suggested Labour could be on course to win 468 seats

What's that do to with Christians? They don't automatically vote Tory y'know

Sowing as you reap is quite a core Christian concept. Not uniquely, but it does appear in their special book. And since recent Tories have been banging on (rather too much) about the UK being a Christian country, I thought it amusing they are being so affected.

I can't imagine any Christian would vote for a party that thinks it is acceptable to criminalise homelessness, or to deport vulnerable people to another country.

Don't they have a story about a Good Samaratian?

TooBigForMyBoots · 01/04/2024 14:31

The public have stopped listening because there's no point. All they ever say is "we have a plan, it's working and we're sticking to it". If the plan is to completely destroy the Tory party, it is working.

Could the not listening be something to do with the person speaking not saying anything that is worth listening to?

JessS1990 · 01/04/2024 14:49

I must say I was impressed by Mr Hollinrake's unbridled optimism on the radio this morning. He really did give the impression that all was going very well in the country and that he sincerely believed that his party will win the next election.
Its been months since even the Prime Minister bothered to pretend that, that is the case.

Clearly his performance was some obscure April Fool's joke, but he did do it very well.

100%! Abortion rights and other women’s rights aren’t necessarily going get any better or progress under a Tory government. They don’t give a shit about women really. This is what is so frustrating. I’m no lover of Labour particularly and fully accept people have different perspectives (that’s just the world we live in, not everyone will think the same as me) but this shitshow of the Conservatives I don’t get it?! What convinces people I would love to know. Even when on a personal level I would probably fare just fine or better under them, I don’t want to watch our country and people continue to suffer from shit services and the decline generally. It’s sad to see. Please correct me but I swear the NHS was voted best healthcare in the world in 2010 and look at it now. Sorry, who’s been in power since 2010?

And piss off with the piss poor ‘insult’ of the opposition being ‘talent-free’. So ignorant and makes you sound silly. Didn’t realise you become a KC and previous director of public prosecutions by just walking in and getting it without a smidgen of talent (or hard work or effort). Fucking hell.

Spot on 👏

And yes, the NHS was voted best in the World just before they came into power.

Supporters will point to Covid but the NHS was in decline and being slowly sold off by the Tories in the 5 years prior to Covid starting.

They cannot be trusted with any public service.

£100K isn't really a great salary though. As our esteemed soon to be ex-chancellor was kind enough to let us know.

"I think that if a man finds themselves earning less than £100K by the age of 26 then can consider themselves a failure"

to coin a phrase from somewhere.
