To be offended by these stickers on the back of a van?

So I was on a day trip with a friend yesterday and this van was up ahead of us in the traffic.
I’m no prude, but I think these are really offensive (you may need to zoom in)
Is it even legal to drive around like this?

To be offended by these stickers on the back of a van?

I was recently searching for bumper stickers and had to wade through a pages of this shit before I found any inoffensive ones. I wondered who the hell is buying this utter crap - but since so many are on sale they are obviously popular. I don't seem to see them on the roads - but it does seem like a massive dickhead advert.

cuckyplunt · 24/03/2024 11:43

It’s nice when you get a clear warning that you’re dealing with a dickhead.

This 👏🏻

bonzaitree · 24/03/2024 20:21

What a loser!!!

really telling on himself there hahah

BrendaSmall · 24/03/2024 20:27

Mountainpika · 24/03/2024 11:45

Haven't looked at them close up to read, but I'd be concerned they couldn't see out the rear window using the mirror.

A lot of vans you’re not able to see out of the back windows 🤣
it’s the way they are!

Samlewis96 · 24/03/2024 20:28

Meadowfinch · 24/03/2024 11:49

I can't get too worked up about it.

The owner is clearly a prat, with appalling taste (in cars as well as humour), and someone to avoid. So avoid them.

There are a lot of prats in the world. I'd be exhausted if I let them all upset me.

This . Have better things to worry about in my life

Zone2NorthLondon · 24/03/2024 20:29

It is vulgar but not illegal. I’d question the sensibilities of anyone choosing to proudly broadcast that

ItsVeryHyacinthBucket · 24/03/2024 20:31

I’m delighted he has chosen to mark himself out with these stickers, that way everyone knows to completely avoid him.

I’m also delighted we live in a free country, where freedom of thought and expression are legal.

I'm 55 & I've seen enough to last a lifetime.

the first one I remember from my young teenage years was

'if it's rocking, don't come knocking'

then it had stick figures.... in case you hadn't understood!

Oh I remember the " if it's rocking" one. Didn't feel offended then either lol

brunettemic · 24/03/2024 20:34

KarstRegion · 24/03/2024 11:43

They are foully misogynistic, and the ‘fake taxi’ one is particularly chilling.

It clearly shows the driver is an absolute prat, dickhead or whatever but the word chilling is a bit ridiculous.

Meowandthen · 24/03/2024 20:37

The driver is clearly a wanker, literally.

I don’t like it as it’s crass and misogynistic and while I am not actually offended I can fully understand that it’s in very poor taste and people don’t want their children to see it. My mother would find it utterly horrible too.

This person has chosen to try and offend others. Just no need for that. Consideration for other is a dying art.

That said, I get the red flag comments. He couldn’t make the warning much more obvious.

Teledeluxe · 24/03/2024 20:45

So, the driver is advertising that he’s a sleazy dickhead.

LuckyPeonies · 24/03/2024 20:47

@RosaMoline why did you bother to obscure the number plate? They obviously don’t mind being seen and noticed. 😁

Thepowerofwhodoo · 24/03/2024 20:59

One of the mums on my school run has "powered by bitchdust" on the bumper, a cartoon woman with her eyes closed, mouth open, tongue out on the rear window and an outline of an ample arse in a thong with the cheeks spread on the fuel cap.

Obviously a classy bird.

DrusillaPaddock · 24/03/2024 21:06

I can't make out the pics too well OP, I've seen cheeky, suggestive car stickers in the past but this sounds beyond that - some of the images you describe sound indecent.
Whether it's technically an offence to display any of these stickers I don't know, I'd be tempted to contact non emergency police and have a word.

Samlewis96 · 24/03/2024 20:33

They were always somewhat tacky, but they didn't drip with hatred and deliberate offence. They just suggested that the occupants were both frequently 'busy in their demonstration of their physical affections for each other - no suggestion of any coercion or non-consensual liaisons whatsoever - and in case any children did ask, there was also the innocent rendering of 'rocking' - i.e. they might be playing loud music and bopping to it inside!

The traditional art of bumper stickers always used to be subtlety and wit; not just showing a 'productive' tumescent phallus alongside a stark misogynistic insult as subtle as a breeze block.

IvorTheEngineDriver · 24/03/2024 21:54

It's in appalling taste but I can't really get worked up about it.

Fake taxi is like he’s pretending to be a taxi to trap women.

Newsenmum · 24/03/2024 22:14

HussellRobbs · 24/03/2024 16:56

I’ve never watched porn but assumed fake taxi means the driver is “joking” that he’s a rapist luring women in by pretending he’s a taxi driver, sort of like John Worboys. Is that wrong?

This is what I thought. is that right @gould ?

Sux2buthen · 24/03/2024 22:17

As already explained, it's more like 'oh gosh I forgot my purse how will I pay'
Or I'm here with my friend in the back, how shall we pass the time.
You get the idea

DreamTheMoors · 24/03/2024 22:23

ChaToilLeam · 24/03/2024 11:53

The driver is a dickhead. You’re going to meet them from time to time. At least this one has clearly announced it.

His actual d*ck is probably 2 inches long.

whynotwhatknot · 24/03/2024 22:30

im sure i saw on a trafficcops type prgram police made someone srcape off offensive lauguage on their window

sad little men do this

SabreIsMyFave · 24/03/2024 22:38

I agree @RosaMoline It's all pretty grim. Can't imagine what vile article is at the wheel inside. boak!

MaknaeLine · 24/03/2024 22:38

I don't find it offensive. I'd just think the owner had a shit sense of humour.

Mmhmmn · 24/03/2024 22:39

Northernsouloldies · 24/03/2024 19:01

What's worse he has a gf ...I don't know how she could be with him not only with that on the car there's other things I've seen ,they live in an opposite block.he is such a vile fucker.
