To be offended by these stickers on the back of a van?

So I was on a day trip with a friend yesterday and this van was up ahead of us in the traffic.
I’m no prude, but I think these are really offensive (you may need to zoom in)
Is it even legal to drive around like this?

To be offended by these stickers on the back of a van?

I see this van all the time. I think he must live in my town. I cringe every time I'm with the kids.

DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats · 24/03/2024 12:00

Misogynistic, creepy and tells me everything I need to know about the driver ie avoid.

Swoopy · 24/03/2024 12:00

Grim. I don’t think my response would be to feel offended though- I’d just think “what a bell end” and avoid.

AhBiscuits · 24/03/2024 12:00

I agree that it would be much simpler if all arseholes displayed it so obviously.

Mmhmmn · 24/03/2024 12:03

Awful. Imagine broadcasting your misogyny and shit sense of sick humour like that. 👀 But it’s a free country (still, just about..)
Would be minded to follow and slash his tyres!

Northernsouloldies · 24/03/2024 12:03

I saw one that said ''my other toy has tits' the owner is an absolute prick, revving car , driving to fast into residential car park.so no surprise at the sticker.

Northernsouloldies · 24/03/2024 12:03

It seems like they've deliberately found any branding stickers they can that have sexual swearwords in them. How mature. Lots seem to be porn brands, or they could even be made up?

Fatty Willy's is a legit surf brand. So seems a bit out of place. Lol, Willy's. What a fucking mug.

I think it's a criminal offence to have foul language like that on your car. Children could see it. Of course it also is sexually threatening to women. Can you report it online to 101?

pickytube · 24/03/2024 12:10

It's clearly someone driving a giant red flag

Janehasamane · 24/03/2024 12:11

horrible image of a fat dick dripping semen

quite frankly I find your wording more offensive and unnecessary. We all have eyes in our head.

CagneyAndLazy · 24/03/2024 12:14

YABU to obscure the number plate, OP.

But other than that - yuck. I can't imagine anyone thinking it's funny or in any way appealing.

DoubleOuch · 24/03/2024 12:15

Advertisements that use, or even hint at, the worse indecent language or graphical images can be (and have been) banned by the Advertising Standards Agency because it is not considered appropriate for children to see it. Agree with that or not, it must be questionable if this display is allowed without anyone giving a toss, surely? No, possibly not illegal, just another "life in UK, 2024".

HelloMiss · 24/03/2024 12:16

Does one say' suck your mom'?

colourfulcrochet · 24/03/2024 12:17

I wish all men who secretly thought this way about women were as obvious as this tool. Would save a lot of us a lot of time and bother. But yes, utterly repulsive and I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that car when driving or parking. I'd probably make an effort to get a look at the owner though so I could avoid him on the street or in shops too. Disgusting.

Lifebeganat50 · 24/03/2024 12:17

Taking offence is optional!

LlynTegid · 24/03/2024 12:21

Report it via 101, see what happens. Perhaps also the DVLA. If no action, let your local Police and Crime Commissioner know, and any who come seeking your support.

Agree the number plate should not have been obscured. At least then we could have an idea where the unfit driver lives.

VWT5 · 24/03/2024 12:24

I’m shocked that it’s a VW driver though…

HeartofSaturdayNight · 24/03/2024 12:26

Hmm. I intensely dislike these misogynistic stickers but a useful indicator on who to avoid.

CharlieRight · 24/03/2024 12:26

Probably a bit of a wanker

Yes indeed.

You can be offended at anything you like. People can have stickers you don't like. What does being offended actually do in this case? It's not going to make the stickers go away.

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/03/2024 12:33

Fortitudinal · 24/03/2024 11:58

Apparently all that women hate is fine.

If he had a sticker saying ‘support women only spaces’ he’d probably be pulled over by the police.

Quite.

But since women are consciously excluded from being protected by hate speech law, we all have to do a tinkly laugh and see it as banter. Lucky us.

RosaMoline · 24/03/2024 12:36

So those of you on this thread that think I’m BU to be offended, you’d be ok if I was driving about with ‘FUCK OFF CUNT’ in massive letters on my rear window, yes?

OP posts:
Cabincrew1 · 24/03/2024 12:37

Looks like an incel advertising himself. I’d take it as a public warning. He’s basically saying ‘women beware’

Allfur · 24/03/2024 12:38

What sort of porn does fake taxi have on its site? Rapey stuff? It's a vile name
