I don't know how it happened

Had one at 11am and liked it so much I had another.

One when walking the dog then another when I came back to warm me up with tea.

Two when watching a crap film, the repeat for Netflix

Then two must've jumped into my mouth

When I was breastfeeding I ate 5 caramel eggs in a day (as caramel versions are superior to the regular cream egg 🤣)

HangingOver · 24/03/2024 07:04

I don't think I've eaten 10 cream eggs in my life but I can do a whole box of delta creams (Australia Oreos) in one sitting and there's like 20 in the packet.

UtterlyButterly2048 · 24/03/2024 07:05

I vote YABU because Crème Eggs are the devils work 🤮 If you had said you ate 10 of the cadburys Easter cakes, with the mini eggs on top? I’d be totally on board 🤣🤣🤣🤣

pandp · 24/03/2024 07:07

Don't have them in the house then you won't be tempted

NoNoNadaNo · 24/03/2024 07:07

For those saying op should have a salad, technically she did. A large egg salad, over the course of the day. Very reserved in my books.

Jennyjojo5 · 24/03/2024 07:09

If you want some solidarity, I had 6 packs of crisps yesterday ! 🤦‍♀️ I just had one of those days where I couldn’t be bothered to make anything properly. Oh and two fudge bars.

whoops

Yes yabu

I’m not a teeny tiny. I love chocolate and consume it in large quantities.

creme eggs are rank now. It tastes like oil and nothing.

i have one every year for nostalgia purposes and they have been awful for the past five years or so. They are objectively horrible and if you disagree- you need to retrain your tastebuds. There’s no reason to eat more than one of them apart from just mindless binge eating

and no- I’m not talking about 90% cacao misery chocolate with unicorn tears

co op single origin milk chocolate is lovely
the Swedish brand ‘marabou’ can be picked up in ikea and is very sweet but not oily tasting
lindt, sprungli all good too

I wouldn’t worry. It’s ok to binge once in a while. Besides, given the “shrinkflation” effect - of the much smaller egg size - I would say they were more like 5 eggs than 10. Scoff away and enjoy your Easter 😀🙏👍🥳

Can you get Sprungli here? I agree that the eggs aren’t very nice nowadays but I wasn’t sure if that was down to my age (I loved them as a child of the 70s). Last time I had Marabou they seemed different to years ago too, not as creamy (and maybe sweeter).

I love chocolate (milk not plain) but do find some of them too sweet now.

ButtCheeks · 24/03/2024 07:16

Sounds like one of “those” days OP. We all have them.

I made a creme egg toastie once, it was pretty magical.

ShoesoftheWorld · 24/03/2024 07:19

Disgusting I get full just by LOOKING at a creme egg this is why the NHS is on its knees we've lost all sight of what healthy looks like UPFs urgh just eat a massive salad and half a square of good dark chocolate (only the one mind) instead goodness am I ANGRY that another woman is enjoying food without feeling guilty and miserable for it.

I think I've covered everything.

I assume the reason OP is posting about it is because it's unusual for her. It's not something I could imagine doing (I like the odd creme egg, but one's generally enough - mini eggs, OTOH...) but I don't think there's any need for the orthorexics to try and assert their superiority over it.

moofolk · 24/03/2024 07:19

Crème Eggs are vile, disgusting things. The world should be rid of them, so thank you for doing your bit you brave soldier.

Please continue.

ScrumpysMum · 24/03/2024 07:21

You had a Snaccident - they happen.
Creme Eggs are too sweet for me but I could happily demolish 10 of the Cadbury's caramel or Reese's ones!

AuntieMarys · 24/03/2024 07:21

My fillings are on edge just reading that! I once ate 6 of them and have never touched them since.

NewmummyJ · 24/03/2024 07:23

Haven't they shrunk? It's probably the equivalent of eating 5 or 6 5 years ago!

LlynTegid · 24/03/2024 07:24

I am imagining the dog with a face of disapproval!!

Mrssheepskin · 24/03/2024 07:27

This is something I could do. I haven’t but I could! I eat healthy the majority of the time but I have little will power when there’s an open box of chocolates etc (hence why I don’t generally have them in the house).

I have eaten those Reese’s snowman in one sitting before (the ones that weigh a tonne and are filled with peanuts butter cream 😬)

Bugsbunnie · 24/03/2024 07:36

I only count 9 so it’s not that bad. Also you dud walk the dog so that kind of makes up for it

Londonrach1 · 24/03/2024 07:39

Wow. I feel sick after more than one. I'm impressed....don't ask me about mini eggs as you get a similar answer to your Aibu...they too yummy

Or warm the creme egg (eggs lets be real not just one) up, toast a hot cross bun and cut it into "soldiers" 😋. Can highly recommend

Craftyy · 24/03/2024 07:47

How do you mentally get past the fact you've had 260g of sugar though? Genuinely curious.

Previously i probably could have done 5 or 6 (i don't think i ever have though) at a push and now I'm diabetic so i can't.

MartinaMorningstar · 24/03/2024 07:58

10 cream eggs is disgusting.

Red Lindt or caramel ones though...

ProfessorPeppy · 24/03/2024 08:07

This is the reason I haven’t eaten any chocolate, sweets, biscuits or cake for an entire year. I can’t justify just one, it has to be the packet.

I don’t know if I miss it or not, I just tell people I don’t eat it so they don’t get/offer me any. Whenever my brain says to me OOH A CRÈME EGG I just tell it that it can get its dopamine elsewhere.

MarmiteyCrumpets · 24/03/2024 08:13

You're a legend, OP 👏

I blame it on being clumsy. Things just fall into my mouth as I potter around. Usually cheese to fair but chocolate today

Haha! I’ve also been pretty clumsy lately.
