What's worse than postbox toppers? Seasonal postbox toppers when it isn't that season

Round here we are surrounded by Christmas postbox toppers.

It's March FFS.

Wondering if the topper crafters have downed tools having realised they could do something better with their time.

They get nicked near us. The Christmas one didn't last long :(

I hate anything twee or sparkly.

But I love post box toppers! They bypass tacky and go straight to cool. We live in a very artisanal wanky bougie village and the post box toppers bring it right back down to earth. Love them.

They make me shudder. Something about them gathering pollution from the car exhausts and getting all raggedy. I appreciate that I'm not being rationale

@waterlellon They usually get changed regularly but apparently this particular maker has been laid up so couldn't get out to remove it herself since New Year. No explanation as to why any of the other makers couldn't have whipped it down for her before a regular passer-by presumably tired of seeing a soggy Grinch day after day and took matters into their own hands 🤷🏻‍♀️

But what do the thieves do with them? Use them as novelty Rasta hats? Toilet seat covers? The mind boggles.

I love them! So cheery, you’d have to be very very miserable to find them offensive .

I hope i'n never so miserable enough to moan about a postbox topper. They look fun and actually so much hard work goes into making them.

I love them. There was a thread on here a while ago and people posted photos of their local one.

I love postbox toppers! I can’t believe people hate them, I can understand dislike, but hate. They are make me smile and are inoffensive.

I think they are so nice. I live in a big grotty city so don’t have any nearby but I love them when I see them in the news or whatever. The world is crap, they give a bit of light relief.

Being as miserable on this subject as I clearly have been judged brings me immense pleasure.

They are always uglee, pointless and unnecessarily twee. This is compounded when they are celebrating Christmas in March and are looking ever so slightly bedraggled with it.

You try walking in search of a non Christmas themed post box round here. It can't be done.

When I was having treatment for cancer I used to try and make myself go for a daily walk and would see them on various post boxes. Really used to make me smile and gave me a bit of joy!

What harm are they doing? 🤷‍♀️
