To ask for help replying to neighbour

Hi Guys just received this from
my neighbours. We’ve gotten a new pup but there is minimal if no smell at all. She poops beside the bins so if anything they’d be smell from the bins. The gate must have only opened as it wasn’t banging previous to this message. It’s not easy to look into our garden through the fences either so it’s clear they are going out of their way. Could I get some help responding to the second text. Thanks!

Yes.

Fedupofcommodes · 06/03/2024 15:33

What do you want people to say OP? Please feel free to leave the shit for your neighbours to smell as the weather gets nicer. Please leave the gate banging in the wind maybe you could pile the shit up and prop the gate open with it.

Yes.

Wow! We have to take ours to the kerb and if the winds blows the lid open you'd be lucky if they take it! There would be no shit wading around here!

RoseNy · 06/03/2024 15:36

I'm trying to imagine a situation where someone could need help to reply to a message about their dogs shit. Just apologise and pick it up in future. How vile.

Jandob · 06/03/2024 15:37

Could be a fox. They poop everywhere and make a big mess.

There’s no shit wading around my bin either I’ll have you know. Hoiks bosoms and gives Koola a hard stare.😐

purpleme12 · 06/03/2024 15:39

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect someone to pick up their dog poo
And I think her texts are very reasonable

Fox poo is distinctive, not like puppy poo at all. Though to be fair, foxes do seem to crap in the same places very regularly, they must have very orderly digestive systems.

Sorry no! Not intending you need shit waders to enter your garden! Just wouldn't have thought it would be an option for a bin man. Though, some pavements round here are covered in shite due to lazy dog owners!!

OP has said the dog poos there.

ancienticecream · 06/03/2024 15:46

This has to be a wind up!

ancienticecream · 06/03/2024 15:47

No wonder the country is going downhill when there are people in the community that don't pick up after their dogs.

Also, sort your gate out.

The Country is going to shit, literally with these irresponsible dog owners.

Hope it’s a wind up , but doubt it.

Barneysma2 · 06/03/2024 15:53

If you are leaving the poo and not picking it up then yes that is grim and will smell and the neighbours have a right to be annoyed. My dog doesn't go in the garden really anymore, just on walks, but when he did used to go I used to stand by the back door, wait for him to do his business then I went out and picked it up straight away it never got left, even in the dark in the cold I would go out and pick it up. My friend has two dogs and doesn't really take them out and let's them shit in the garden and picks it all up about once a week, it's gross. I went out once and the garden was covered. If you are leaving it then just apologise and start picking it up. Likely hood is when pup gets older they will want to do it on their walk anyway and not in the garden.

BreatheAndFocus · 06/03/2024 15:55

Pick up the poo as soon as your dog does it, then your neighbour won’t have to text you again. For now, text them back apologising and thanking them for letting you know about the gate.

Obeast · 06/03/2024 15:58

'Hi, I have removed the shite and bought a padlock to secure my garden for the dog'

Scaffoldingisugly · 06/03/2024 15:58

Surely during puppy training you are out with dpuppy anyway? Poop then scoop.. Simples. <eek >

Teacupsandrollups · 06/03/2024 16:00

Focus on sorting your shit out (quite literally), rather than thinking up some smart assed reply?

Pinkypurplewall · 06/03/2024 16:02

That is disgusting. My dog poos on walks 99% of the time but on the odd occasion she goes in the garden we pick it up immediately. And we're in a detached house where it wouldn't affect the neighbours but I don't want poo lying around.

FlamingoFloss · 06/03/2024 16:06

Talipesmum · 06/03/2024 14:30

“I’m so sorry, gate is properly closed now. And we will be picking up the dog poo much more often, huge apologies”

This

Ilovemyshed · 06/03/2024 16:06

Its a polite way of saying clear up after your dog

heyitsthistle · 06/03/2024 16:11

'Sorry neighbour. I'll pick up my dog's poo every time from now on. I'll get DH to fix the banging gate this weekend'

Screwballs · 06/03/2024 16:13

Jesus OP, clear up the dog shit. The fact they've had to ask twice is embarrassing.

ohdamnitjanet · 06/03/2024 16:17

You know you’re the problem neighbours here, don’t you? Banging gates and stinking dog shit, lovely.

MustBeNapTime · 06/03/2024 16:33

@Gab3105
She poops beside the bins so if anything they’d be smell from the bins.

But you pick it up straight away, bag it and throw it INTO the bin don't you, you don't just leave poo by the bins?! I think that;s quite a nice note from your neighbour who is clearly trying to resolve an unpleasant situation amicably.
