Seems like something going very wrong with UK Facebook x Been thrown off both FB and Messenger and Twitter suggests Instagram down too. Just a heads up as I know most people here don't apparently use it but if you do for business etc it might be worth checking.

I don't use it but DH said he got back in and then was moaning about codes and said he wasn't back in, not sure what was going on but he gave up in the end.

Though she is yet to report that.

She has called me another three times this evening to ask if I have fixed it. I have told her it may take me a few days. (Years)

Why would I want to do that? I use Facebook for special interest groups, follow at least 20 other similar pages, store recipies from the food bloggers I follow, special memories with DC and other, keep upto date with local area news and activities. Etc etc. I love it. Yes there are lots of silly posts, but if groups and pages are well moderated that's fairly minimal.

I don't know; to reduce addiction? To avoid lining Mark Zuckerberg's pockets? To diminish the influence of an unelected, hugely destructive, polarising, immoral business that is completely unaccountable?

Meh. Still can't get a code through WhatsApp.

Have to resurrect my tablet and verify on that or my defunct I phone to get back in.

Messenger wants me to reinstall.

Had a long day dealing with elderly parents stuff and am so fried I can't be arsed.... shall look at it again tomorrow when I feel less like launching every piece of tech I own through a sodding window.

On a lighter note, I couldn't help but remember watching Leave the World Behind and wondering just a tiny bit 🤣

My money's still on the office cat though lol.

Same. Only after a while it suddenly said that as I had been reading notifications it was logging me back in! Bizarre

Well crack open the champagne.... had one last go at getting a code and it happened!!!!!

Then got into messenger through Facebook.

I hate that my life is somewhat ruled by this shit, but honestly it's the only platform I really use to communicate with friends and family. How the hell did we get here? I felt like Linus without his security blanket.... honestly it is absolutely ridiculous.....

Stop the world I wanna get off!!!

Was it just people using the apps at the time affected? I had a long shower I have scalp psoriasis. Scrolling through Facebook and there's loads moaning about an outage. I've not been logged out of either app.

I still can’t get in at all.
It won’t let me reset my password as it says it can’t send me a code 🤦🏻‍♀️

I had exactly the same yesterday. Like others I thought I had been hacked but I did get back in eventually

I know there were some problems yesterday, but now I can't sign in. I keep on requesting a code and then receive 2 (different ones) within seconds. Neither of which works.

If I request them again, I just get the same 2 different numbers in another email - which don't work.

I've spent an hour trying to find some help on their site but they seem to want to want you to be logged in to report problems.

Is it just me ?

(Being honest this may well be the nidge I needed to reduce social media anyway
