Massive Facebook outage

Seems like something going very wrong with UK Facebook x

Been thrown off both FB and Messenger and Twitter suggests Instagram down too.

Just a heads up as I know most people here don't apparently use it but if you do for business etc it might be worth checking.

Hey, thanks for that! It's literally just happened to me 2 minutes ago! I was kicked off/shut down, hadn't a clue what was going on, and OF COURSE i can't remember my password - I set it years ago!!! Ah well, hopefully it'll get sorted.

If you want a mindless scroll read, go through the Instagram comments on the down detector page. It's just like being on Facebook.

I also thought I’d been hacked as not getting codes for multi factor authentication when I was trying to log back in.

Phew! Glad it's not just me. I've just restarted my phone thinking that might resolve it so guessing it won't if it's a general outage. Instagram also seems to be down.

Oh well...time to reconnect with the real world!

this thread is more helpful than google. Mine went down, asked me to log in; then didn't recognise my password, asked me to change it; then told me that i was going too fast and could be a spammer. I'll wait.

It is ridiculous how much a of a panic this put me in, thought it was just my account. It would do me the world of good if this lasts for days....

Not just the UK. I just tried logging on & and it's chucked me out. 'Session expired '

@IncompleteSenten I bloody knew this would happen when my brother put her on FB.

If she's not breaking the internet she's messing with FB.

Now she's gonna call me a million times rather than message. It's me that needs the baileys

My work is ON facebook (online advertising) so this is a fun day for us. Not to mention spends are going to go haywire when it's back up and running as it works with daily budgets.

I work in Tech, I always feel mega sorry for the people trying to get the service back.

And yes worldwide issue. Also Whatsapp runs off a different platform than IG & FB and is often not affected when the others are.

Zuckerberg is probably just looking down the side of the sofa to find another dime to put in the leccy meter.

Is this one of those “there are two types of people in the world?” thing - I’d never for a moment think I’d been hacked or that it was my fault, I’d always immediately assume the site was down!

I can now see a couple of recent friend requests, but no other pages are loading. I couldn’t see that a few minutes ago so maybe it’s a good sign?

I’d clicked on an email - absolutely thought I’d broken it!
Wonder what else that says about me 😂
