Massive Facebook outage

Seems like something going very wrong with UK Facebook x

Been thrown off both FB and Messenger and Twitter suggests Instagram down too.

Just a heads up as I know most people here don't apparently use it but if you do for business etc it might be worth checking.

Do we really need multiple threads about Facebook? Third one I've seen in ten minutes on here!

It'll come back online, why does everyone panic? Do you not have anything better to do?

For everyone worried about being hacked in these circumstances. If you google is it down right now and put in the name of the website that you are having trouble with you will see if there have been other reports of people having problems. Saves worrying or going round in circles if you know its affecting lots of others.

So glad you posted this, was panicking I’d been hacked and lost the kids photos! 😅

let’s hope they fix at the same time the glitch on messenger that says that your business page is going to be closed down for security breaches. It’s really annoying and I get about 10 of these type of messages per week.

Because - if you read the thread - people were worried they'd been hacked.

She's just called repeatedly to let me know she broke Facebook.

Erm I only started this thread cos I didn't see any others and mainstream media is reporting it.

Have plenty better to do but also many of us network on these damn apps and given the risks of cyber attacks etc it's as well to know.

Going to go and do something else now. Like Bath my cat.

The panic that's come off this outage shows how dangerous tech monopolies are.

I guess I missed FB buying WhatsApp! My excuse is DD was born in 2014, I missed most of that year in sleep deprivation!

And you seem to have commented on them all! As its already been explained to you, people use it for business and for keeping in touch with those overseas.

I was in the middle of messaging my niece who is in a different country and concerned about a major health scare she is having, so yes I would like to know as soon as it is up and running again.

i thought I'd been hacked and then googled to find it was down!

Phew I thought my fat fingers had pressed something by mistake.

Im so glad that MN is working and I can get news.
Teen DD just came to me 10 minutes ago absolutely distraught- logged out of FB and messenger and password is not working. I looked up mine - the same. I googled FB problems today - the answer was no problems. Finally went to MN and now can see that it’s not only us.
