Answer honestly.
I have mineral water on average 5 days a week, two glasses with dinner and dessert.
The other times coke/ lemonade. But still have mineral water later.

If at home on a normal night, then water with dinner. Sometimes wine if eating in on a Friday or Saturday. Wine if eating out or got guests!

If at work for lunch, then also water. At home I normally have milk if just having my usual sandwichy lunch. But I'm trying to reduce dairy for environmental reasons, so trying to switch to water or tea. But that's a new thing.

I never drink sweet drinks with lunch or dinner. Never have. Actually I never really have sweet drinks at all except sometimes juice with breakfast. I just don't like them really.

pinkspeakers · 04/03/2024 22:03

Never drink mineral water. Just tap water.

SiobahnRoy · 04/03/2024 22:03

Tap water usually, fizzed in Sodastream
Wine sometimes
I never have hot drinks with food apart from breakfast

Blackcats7 · 04/03/2024 22:05

I hate plain water or sparkling water. Weak squash or lemonade for me.

AndThatWasNY · 04/03/2024 22:10

I didn't know adults drink squash I thought it was as for little children. I don't think I know any adults that drink squash?
I drink tea, coffee or water or if out wine, beer, cider or g&t. About once a year I drink a can of coke when hungover!

Why wouldn't adults drink squash? It's just flavoured water, like many drinks are.

Notfeelinghunkydory · 04/03/2024 22:28

Water with dinner G&T with tea!

TooOldForThisNonsense · 04/03/2024 22:28

MasterBeth · 04/03/2024 22:00

Yeah, it's just a drink. For children.

Doesnt say on the label for children 🤷‍♀️

lots of squashes these days are specifically marketed at adults so no, it’s not just for children. I’d rather have squash than alcohol any day of the week.

TooOldForThisNonsense · 04/03/2024 22:30

And plenty of adults drink fizzy drinks too. They really shouldn’t be drunk by children as they are so bad for their teeth.

TooOldForThisNonsense · 04/03/2024 22:32

I love coffee but can’t really imagine having one with my dinner for some reason.

BeBesideTheSea · 04/03/2024 22:36

Lunch always tap water. Tea afterwards.
Dinner tap water or cold milk or squash. Occasionally coke, but I only really like it when it is flat!

TheChosenTwo · 04/03/2024 22:38

Just water unless I’m out for dinner and then sparkling water if I’m driving or whatever alcohol I’m drinking.
Water is all I drink 95% of the time.
I don’t drink fizzy drinks, squash, juice, tea or coffee - some people think I’m bloody boring 😂

MartinsSpareCalculator · 04/03/2024 22:40

Nothing as I don't drink whilst eating.

Generally I'll have water all day and a cup of peppermint tea after a meal.

Healthyhappymama · 04/03/2024 22:43

Cup of tea or coffee with breakfast and either water, milk or tea with lunch and dinner. If I'm having a takeaway I will have cola

wendywoopywoo222 · 04/03/2024 23:00

Coffee with lunch. Coffee with dinner.

Lots of coffee. Never drink water.

FussyPud · 04/03/2024 23:06

Water, squash, pop, tea, coffee, juice…

I’m an equal opportunities beverage consumer. :D

RobertaFirmino · 04/03/2024 23:17

Just a glass of water with the food but I do like a mug of tea or coffee afterwards. Mint tea is a great choice if you are prone to indigestion. Can't be arsed with squash or pop, it's all just pointless calories and/or additives to me.

What is the actual point of the question though? Did someone tell you that your own choice was 'wrong'?

justjuggling · 04/03/2024 23:38

Sparkly water or maybe a Diet Coke if I’m out.

BobbyBiscuits · 05/03/2024 01:22

I don't really like drinking at the same time as eating. But sometimes when I eat something really salty/ fatty I get a desperate craving to wash it down with a coke. Then need loads of water afterwards as the coke is even more drying!

I drink bottled water and tap. But nowhere near enough. Only couple glasses a day. I need to do more but it makes me pee like a maniac. I also drink tea and coffee 1 of each a day.

NiceCoffee · 05/03/2024 01:26

Full strength coffee with lunch, dinner and any other time between waking and sleeping.

Karadis · 05/03/2024 01:57

Filtered tap water or cooled, mild green tea with lunch.

Cooled green tea/similar with dinner if we're not having wine. Otherwise a glass of red or white, depending on the food.

I love a glass of Champagne, but not with a meal. I never touch fizzy drinks or squash type things - can't stand them.

pinkgown · 05/03/2024 02:00

Tap water usually. Sometimes with a slice of lemon in it.

104c · 05/03/2024 08:05

Depending on what I'm eating if the flavours go. I know it sounds weird but say I'd eat an omelette or beans on toast for lunch and drink a coffee with it but wouldn't if I was having pasta (suppose the others are more brunchy foods).

Most lunchtimes it's water or squash and then a coffee afterwards. Dinner time the same but no coffee, often a fizzy drink especially if having a takeaway, very occasionally I have a beer or cider but normally I drink while cooking than while eating

Zanatdy · 05/03/2024 08:06

Coke Zero or Diet Pepsi

Imfreetofeelgood · 05/03/2024 08:15

I drink after meals not during, unless I'm out for a rare evening meal and there is wine on the table. I drink 500 mls of boiled water, after every meal, and one about 8pm. Sometimes an extra one in the day. I don't like tea or coffee and never have drank them. Occasional hot chocolate, if out with friends and they want a coffee. I used to have a pepsi max every day, but stopped, other than I might have it with a spirit once a week. I love hot water - nothing else seems wet enough 🤣
