Answer honestly.
I have mineral water on average 5 days a week, two glasses with dinner and dessert.
The other times coke/ lemonade. But still have mineral water later.

Agree with this. Whenever I see people lugging home dozens of bottles of mineral water I do wonder how they justify it.

Tap for me. No juice or fizzy drinks except on special occasions.

I buy bottled water to give to DC who does a lot of sport. He takes a water bottle filled from home too.

Tap water in the main. Often a glass of wine with dinner at the weekend. And occasionally a glass of wine with lunch if I'm in a holiday mood.

Sunnnybunny72 · 04/03/2024 19:07

Don't drink anything with meals unless eating out. I'm rarely thirsty at all tbh. Have had three decaf coffees today out of habit which will do me and is quite typical.

Girasoli · 04/03/2024 19:14

Usually water, sometimes coke or sprite.
I'll usually have a tea or coffee with my sandwich at work (cold office).
Also if I make myself breakfast food (eg eggs or beans) for lunch I will have orange juice.

I don't like squash.

Titsywoo · 04/03/2024 19:55

I only really drink tap water through the day - it the only drink I like!

I would give him a bigger refillable bottle or two refillable bottles.

Love my soda stream for a fizzy water hit.

Me too. Largely got it to reduce plastic bottle consumption.

It depends.

Water, still or sparkling, wine, beer, tea, coffee, a G&T. It makes me laugh to hear of adults drinking drinks for children like squash or fizzy pop.

Why is it funny? I don’t drink fizzy drinks (except sparkling water) or alcohol. All I drink is water, squash and tea or coffee. I drink M and S high juice pink grapefruit or orange or Robinsons lime and mint. Never thought it was “childish”. It’s just a drink

ancienticecream · 04/03/2024 21:16

I drink water or squash. When I go out to eat I have a soda and lime for the thrill of it.

Normally I'd have wine with a dinner out, but I am pregnant so that will have to wait.

LindorDoubleChoc · 04/03/2024 21:16

I don't drink anything with food unless I'm in a restaurant having dinner. Then it will be wine and tap water.

If out for lunch I'll have a soft drink before the food arrives and a coffee or tea after.

angelikacpickles · 04/03/2024 21:17

Tap water for both.

Holypricks · 04/03/2024 21:19

We have a sparkling water tap, so sparkling water at home. Tap water at work.

awitchoftroubleinelectricblue · 04/03/2024 21:22

I've never seen anyone just have water with their dinner or tea and most people I know have a hot drink - tea or coffee - with their food. I have a cup or three of tea.

Untethered · 04/03/2024 19:58

I would give him a bigger refillable bottle or two refillable bottles.

He has the isotonic sports water. It's due to the sheer hours of sport he does. I don't want him to get cramp. In the summer a cricket match can last from noon to almost 8 pm.

Mummydoctor · 04/03/2024 21:25

I always have just plain tap water with my lunch and dinner. Will have a rare soft drink or glass of wine if eating out (as rare as hens teeth though!)

IAmAnIdiot123 · 04/03/2024 21:27

No added sugar peach squash or coffee.

Edited to add: when I eat out I normally have tonic water with ice and a slice of lime.

Shitlord · 04/03/2024 21:29

Tap water. Not drinking at current so if they've a decent non alcoholic wine or beer I might have that (if beer works with the food), in usual times I would have dry white wine if at a restaurant. Tap water always though unless in a place where the water is not potable for environmental reasons re plastic.

Lemonyyy · 04/03/2024 21:35

Tap water always, might have a glass of wine or a beer with dinner but would have water as well.

I don’t like tea or coffee with food but I do drink them between meals.

bit boring really but I stopped drinking squash/pop when I was young and broke and now I have the money for it it tastes too sweet!

Loafbeginsat60 · 04/03/2024 21:37

Water always with dinner at home

Water at lunch at work or Coke Zero.

Mumofyellows · 04/03/2024 21:48

Water or squash, at the weekends wine if I fancy it.

Toooldforthis36 · 04/03/2024 21:49

TooOldForThisNonsense · 04/03/2024 21:11

Me too. Largely got it to reduce plastic bottle consumption.

Same. Wouldn’t be without it now👍

Bbq1 · 04/03/2024 21:51

Water. Very occasionally a soft drink
Tea after the meal usually.

I would give him a bigger refillable bottle or two refillable bottles.

I understand. I take an electrolyte supplement with tap water. Works out much cheaper.

Thinkbiglittleone · 04/03/2024 22:00

Cordial.

Yeah, it's just a drink. For children.
