Answer honestly.
I have mineral water on average 5 days a week, two glasses with dinner and dessert.
The other times coke/ lemonade. But still have mineral water later.

Wine.

From my cellar.

Lots of it.

fleurneige · 04/03/2024 16:04

Water. Unless we have guests or we eat out.

Ilovelurchers · 04/03/2024 16:08

Excellent thread - I'm pleased to have been a part of it!

Sparking water for me. Can't get enough of it. I know it's bad for the environment but it's one area I don't currently compromise. I don't drink alcohol (i used to) so I like to have my favourite drink instead.

HRTQueen · 04/03/2024 16:10

Water or tea
sometimes ribena or peach juice (watered down with fizzy water)
when out for dinner water or red wine

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 04/03/2024 16:11

Tap water generally. Which I imagine if going to be the most common answer!

Sometimes I have a cup of tea with my lunch.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 04/03/2024 16:11

If I were out to dinner I’d have wine, plus tap water at the same time (different glass obviously!)

mathanxiety · 04/03/2024 16:13

Water - sparkling or still.

sunnydayhereandnow · 04/03/2024 16:13

Tap water or fizzy tap water from the soda stream. Glass of wine on Fri night. But I generally drink between meals (tea or water) and don’t necessarily drink anything alongside a meal.

GreyhpundGirl · 04/03/2024 16:13

Tap water or weak squash.

Ontopofthesunset · 04/03/2024 16:15

Tap water or water and wine (weekend evenings or if out for dinner). Hate fizzy drinks.

OkPedro · 04/03/2024 16:15

Water or milk most days but if we're having Curry, pizza or burgers I will always have coke or Pepsi

2024Melanie · 04/03/2024 16:16

Sparkling Water/tea/coffee

CrispsandCheeseSandwich · 04/03/2024 16:19

Water is pretty much all I ever drink.

I gave up alcohol recently as it annoyingly started to make me feel like crap even if I just had a little.
I've never drunk tea or coffee.

If I go out for a meal, I would probably get a lemonade.

smittenkittennn · 04/03/2024 16:21

sparkling water for lunch and dinner. If I fancy alcohol will have wine or beer with dinner.

vincettenoir · 04/03/2024 16:23

With lunch: mainly water, sometimes tea.
With dinner: mainly water, sometimes red wine.

vincettenoir · 04/03/2024 16:27

@DrJoanAllenby is this a generational thing? My dm and df hardly ever drink water. What did you drink growing up?

transformandriseup · 04/03/2024 16:27

White wine but by the looks of this thread that's uncommon. We do drink water throughout the day too.

Tohaveandtohold · 04/03/2024 16:27

Tap water most of the time at home, and juice or non alcoholic wine with Sunday roast. The children have the same but the 5 year old still drinks some milk as well

Vettrianofan · 04/03/2024 16:29

Cooncil juice.

RampantIvy · 04/03/2024 16:31

It seems that I am rather odd not to drink with my meal. I just don't feel the need, but I do like to have a cuppa afterwards.

Natsku · 04/03/2024 16:33

MasterBeth · 04/03/2024 15:51

It depends.

Water, still or sparkling, wine, beer, tea, coffee, a G&T. It makes me laugh to hear of adults drinking drinks for children like squash or fizzy pop.

In my country its quite common for adults to drink milk with lunch and dinner, which really cracks me up as that's definitely a child's drink in my mind yet you see grown men at lunch restaurants having a glass of milk with their hot meal.

RampantIvy · 04/03/2024 16:36

We used to drink milk with meals when we were growing up @Natsku. My mother was German born and bred.

SwordToFlamethrower · 04/03/2024 16:37

Water or squash or a cup of tea

phoenixrosehere · 04/03/2024 16:39

Sparkling Water either on its own or with lemon, lime, or both.

I drink before and after my meal, between courses but not during my meal if that makes sense.

OneTC · 04/03/2024 16:42

Tea or beer
