Answer honestly.
I have mineral water on average 5 days a week, two glasses with dinner and dessert.
The other times coke/ lemonade. But still have mineral water later.

Daily at work I have black coffee with lunch, v occasionally a glass of water. At home usually a diet cherry Pepsi max with dinner, never water. Occasionally a fruit tea on colder days. If we're eating out I'll have a glass or two of prosecco or champagne. I don't drink red or white wine otherwise.

I have a cup of tea with my lunch and usually a can of Diet Coke with my dinner.

Why wouldn't adults drink squash? It's just flavoured water, like many drinks are.

Nothing wrong with it, just never seen it in RL. Tbh I hang out with a pretty unhealthy lot from the hedonistic 90s who ever drink alcohol or have given up all toxins and only drink oolong tea or some shite 😂

Doesnt say on the label for children 🤷‍♀️

lots of squashes these days are specifically marketed at adults so no, it’s not just for children. I’d rather have squash than alcohol any day of the week.

It doesn't say on the label of smiley potato faces or Pom Bears or Dairylea triangles that they're for children, either.

All drinks are flavoured water. Except water. And maybe milk.

Fizzy water is my goto drink both in and out the house, either that or coffee or bovril if i want a warm drink that's not coffee - don't drink pop, juice or soda.

CrunchyCarrot · 05/03/2024 08:56

Apple and elderflower juice with main meals, herbal tea in between. Never have squash, fizzy drinks and rarely plain water either, except at night.

TempleOfBloom · 05/03/2024 09:09

Tap water.

Tap water on the table when out for a meal plus wine or beer.

A very occasional cold fizzy drink on a hot day, in the same way I might have an ice cream.

I would never drink lemonade etc with a meal.

HighonCatnip · 05/03/2024 09:21

I don't really drink anything 'with' a meal, unless I'm out, then it's usually whatever soft drink I fancy. At home I rarely make the effort to get a drink to sit and drink along with the meal.

TinyCheeseGrater · 05/03/2024 09:30

Tap water. I only drink water and tea, and wouldn’t want tea with a meal.

I drink hot drinks with hot food (decaf tea/coffee). I've never understood why anyone would want to wash hot food down with a cold drink. In the summer it's diet coke with a salad or sandwich. Hot green tea with a meal in a restaurant in China Town is one of life's pleasures.

I don't understand why you would think this strange. I can understand why you would want your food to be hot while you eat it, but once you've swallowed it, does it matter whether the sip of a drink you take to follow it down is hot or cold?

I do because I don’t like feeling hot on the inside and there isn’t a drink I like warm or hot that pairs well with a hot food dish.

I eat a hot food dish and drink something warm or hot, it makes me want to drink something cold even if it is cold outside.

Hot tea or coffee with the hot dishes I enjoy sounds awful especially since tea and coffee can have quite strong flavours. I like both but only with room temperature items like pastries, cookies, and biscuits or by themselves.
