Maybe I'm overacting but I don't think I am. The other day I was at a cafe with my friend (31F) and I was pouting my lips when she looked at me and said 'that reminds me' and started applying chapstick. I was a bit confused by this but then I realised what she meant and I was very angry. But then yesterday we went out again and I can't remember the conversation but I stuck my teeth out in a funny way and she looked me up and down and said in a smug voice 'I need to book my dentist appointment' and she set a reminder in her calendar. Am I overreacting or is this not on? And how do I approach it without sounding paranoid?

I'm quite animated sometimes - if i was a telling a story and someone said 'that reminds me, I need to get my chin waxed/bags done/blackheads removed' then I would also think they weren't a very nice friend.

She's not thinking your lips are awful therefore need to use chapstick.
She's not thinking your teeth are awful therefore needs to ring dentist.

She's thinking lips = mine feel a bit dry, applies chapstick.

This is a you problem. To think your friend is in the wrong is a very twisted way of thinking.

You drew attention to your lips, so it reminded her about hers. It doesn't imply yours are horrid. Same with the teeth. You're paranoid. If you really think your friend is being passive aggressive, stop being friends, but you're going to end up with no friends with your bizarre attitude.

I think deep down with context she has always been somewhat jealous of me which makes it worse. Without trying to sound like I think I look so much better than her, she isn't the best looking so I feel like she's trying to put me down for some reason. But I honestly have no reason to think why.
