To ask if everyone has some sort of physical pain?

Was reading that everyone's got aches and pains of some sort.
Nobody is without anything wrong.
Do you agree? X

I do have daily pain, diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases. Before diagnosis 4 years ago I thought it was normal the pain in my spine, as one example. Then talking with my other friends ranging between 33 and 40 they looked at me like I had lost it haha! It's what led me to get support. I still have pain daily now but no where near to the debilitating level I had. Friends still say they have no pain, one has a dodgy knee.

HappyHealthy23 · 02/03/2024 19:21

No. I usually don't have any aches or pains (I've got a sore gum at the moment, though). I used to get sore knees a lot, but that stopped a few years ago, coincidentally, after I'd lost some weight. 🤔I'm 49.

Sususudio · 02/03/2024 19:21

No. I don't. And I am in my fifties.

pickledandpuzzled · 02/03/2024 19:22

I did and was diagnosed with a chronic condition. I am much better now, but needed treatment.

Geebray · 02/03/2024 19:22

Nope. I'm 56.

What pain to you have OP?

DelurkingAJ · 02/03/2024 19:22

I disagree. I know I’m lucky but am mid 40s and whilst my body is far less supple than it was 25 years ago I have no niggles. When I do I go to physio or a doctor and get it sorted.

Scoobyblue · 02/03/2024 19:23

I’m 56. I don’t have any ongoing pain.

UpUpUpU · 02/03/2024 19:23

Yep!

CrunchyCarrot · 02/03/2024 19:23

Yep, sadly injured my back at 50 and have had pain and problems with it ever since. Got Hashimoto's at 60 and that's given me a lot of discomfort and aggravating things, but at a low level not badly. Add to that now osteoarthritis in one thumb has just started, that is pretty painful.

sprigatito · 02/03/2024 19:24

I have several types of chronic pain, and have had since I was 12.

purpleme12 · 02/03/2024 19:24

I have things 'wrong' with me, but no, no aches and pains (yet 😂)

BigMamaFratelli · 02/03/2024 19:25

Yes, but then I have two autoimmune diseases and digestive issues...

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/03/2024 19:25

I do. DH complains I'm a broken woman and he wants a refund as I wasn't broken when we got married.

I've had TN for 10 years so my face hurts.

I have shoulder impingement, so my arm hurts if I raise it the wrong way.
And I have had a hip arthroscopy 5 years ago, and I've got returning hip pain.

If I sit very still (and take meds for my face) then usually I'm pain free though. 😂

FenellaBestwick · 02/03/2024 19:26

Permanent pain since 10yo.

AuntieMarys · 02/03/2024 19:26

No..I'm mid 60s and in good nick

Createausername1970 · 02/03/2024 19:26

I turned 60 a year or so ago and I notice more general aches and pains now than before. But previously, the only time I had pain was if I had actually hurt myself. The pain was related to a specific thing and it went away when that thing was sorted.

Now it's random twinges that come and go with no rhyme or reason.

BeaRF75 · 02/03/2024 19:26

Aged 58 and very, very rarely have any pain.

Sususudio · 02/03/2024 19:27

I think you need to ask if people without any conditions or diseases have pain all the time. I don't think it's normal for healthy people to have aches and pains.

TheChosenTwo · 02/03/2024 19:27

Well I’m in physical daily pain but I don’t agree that everyone is!
I’ve got back issues due to some slipped discs a few years back, some days are much worse than others, generally I cope with it okay and keep up with regular exercise and a lot of stretching. My body certainly knows if I let either of these slip.

User364837 · 02/03/2024 19:28

No, no constant aches and pains (apart from current mouth ulcer). 42 and overweight,
when my weight goes higher and past a certain point I feel it in my knees but all good at the moment

LoobyDop · 02/03/2024 19:29

I usually have mild DOMS from exercise. If I have a week off I’m completely fine 😂

orangeleopard · 02/03/2024 19:29

I have never known what it’s like to not feel pain. I have CRMO and arthritis and every day of my life I’ve been in pain. As I’ve got older the pain has become more debilitating due to deterioration of my joints and immune system and being in pain every single day of your life really does affect you. I look back at child me and think how strong I was going through the pain and surgeries I went through.

Geebray · 02/03/2024 19:22

Nope. I'm 56.

Yes usually something or other. I have long term health conditions. Often my hip, I bang into stuff as well.

There are a small number of people without pain (have congenital insensitivity to pain) which is very dangerous. Scientists are trying to see if there is anything they can learn from genes for them and to help chronic pain sufferers.

TimeForBedSaidZebadee · 02/03/2024 19:36

I'm 63 and have no pain at all.
However, mid 50s I had very creaky knees and the start of arthritic joint pain in my hands.
I started taking daily turmeric capsules. The niggles quickly disappeared and I've been pain free ever since.
