Was reading that everyone's got aches and pains of some sort.
Nobody is without anything wrong.
Do you agree? X

I’m currently in the hospital after spinal surgery so hopefully no pain after this. Am 40.

EC22 · 02/03/2024 19:40

Im 45
I have plantar fasciitis and have done on and off for 4 years. I’m a hill walker so I get knee pain.
I get occasional hip pain.
period pain monthly.
But I don’t have to take analgesia very often, well monthly but the rest is manageable without.

Seymour5 · 02/03/2024 19:45

Mid 70s, arthritic knee, but that’s it. I feel pretty lucky.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 02/03/2024 19:48

Mid 40s and my right shoulder hurts about 90% of the time.

i also have Hashimotos and generally feel achy all of the time. That’s less joint like and feels more muscley.

Wherearemymarbles · 02/03/2024 19:53

Nope. I’m 55 and no aches anywhere and never have
pains - yep, 2 teenagers!!

Anonymouseposter · 02/03/2024 19:57

No. I’m in my 70s and don’t usually have pain. I have had pain at times e.g. sciatica for a month, toothache before having an extraction, post operative pain but it’s always been time limited.

UnhealthyCopingStrategies · 02/03/2024 19:59

Yes - daily. Also have an AI disease...

tryingtohelp82 · 02/03/2024 20:01

Only for a minute when I get up after sitting. Or the odd headache

stripes92 · 02/03/2024 20:01

Late 30s and no aches or pains. I wouldn't expect a healthy person to have aches and pains on a regular basis til maybe in their 60s or later.

DrJoanAllenby · 02/03/2024 20:01

No aches and pains here although I did prick myself in a rose thorn recently and the thorn broke off and imbedded itself in my finger and after I pulled it out it was quite sore for a couple of days.

Oblomov24 · 02/03/2024 20:03

No. Most people don't. Until perhaps they age. No one I know when young had long term permanent pain. I do now, but didn't till I was 50 and broke my back in 4 places.

AnEmbarrasmentofWitches · 02/03/2024 20:04

48
i have arthritis, have since I was 21. I have some pain most days, but mostly mild, as my treatment works well.

DH is 56. He has back and hip pain due to a back injury.

BarelyLiterate · 02/03/2024 20:16

No. As I sit here tonight, I’m 100% pain free and I’m in my mid 50s. Back, knees, hips all good. Hopefully I will feel the same tomorrow. 🤞

DP does have aches & pains, particularly his back, knees & right shoulder, but that’s to be expected as he played rugby at a decent level until his mid 30s and still plays cricket to a competitive standard.

Floopani · 02/03/2024 20:19

I get regular intermittent shoulder pain, after breaking my shoulder a few years ago. I'm 43. I just kind of ignore it.

Roselilly36 · 02/03/2024 20:20

I unfortunately experience regular pain, I have had MS for many years.

BeyondMyWits · 02/03/2024 20:27

Sometimes it is easier to say what doesn't hurt. 59 and recent menopause. My joints ache, my muscles ache, my guts ache, my head aches. Some caused by heart issues, or by medication for heart issues, some menopause, some age. Body is knackered, can't see it improving.

FortyFacedFuckers · 02/03/2024 20:28

I have endometriosis so have lived the majority of my life in pain

Pigglyplaystruant99 · 02/03/2024 20:28

Yes. Mid fifties and have been in pain every day for ten years (lower back pain/joint pain). Exhausted every avenue to alleviate - surgery not an option, but a combination of effective painkillers, plus yoga and Pilates has made life worth living again.

Pigglyplaystruant99 · 02/03/2024 20:30

This is a really interesting thread. Thanks for starting.

winterplumage · 02/03/2024 20:32

I've had neck aches for some time, but usually I don't have any pains. Or rather, small aches might come and go, e.g. a toothache or something. Am 48.

brummyadele91 · 02/03/2024 20:34

No I don't. I am 43 this year.

Waitingfordoggo · 02/03/2024 20:34

No, I don’t have daily pain.

I’m 46 and perimenopausal- I do have more frequent health issues than I used to (usually heartburn and achy hands/wrists) but these are still infrequent and largely don’t affect me in my day to day life.

I also lift weights very often so I have tight shoulder/neck muscles or achy hamstrings reasonably frequently but those are obviously just a result of the exercise and are mildly painful at worst, and are short-lived.

StressefHousePurchase · 02/03/2024 20:34

I’m 25 and have been in pain since the day I was born. I have never had any investigations, sometimes it cripples me, other times just a niggle I thought it was normal

Diamondcurtains · 02/03/2024 20:35

I have had back pain and hip pain for about 20 years. I’m 52 now. I’ve never done anything about it but today I’ve done too much and now can’t stand up if I sit down so I think I need to see the doctor.

Octavia64 · 02/03/2024 20:36

I have had pain most of my life.

My periods started at 12 and were always painful. It developed into full on endometriosis.

I also have chronic pain from IBS and ten years ago I was in an accident and have complex regional pain disorder in my left foot as a result.

I don't really remember not being in pain.

I'm 47.
