Was reading that everyone's got aches and pains of some sort.
Nobody is without anything wrong.
Do you agree? X

Nothing chronic. I am quite clumsy and do martial arts so usually have some sort of minor injury or several. Those don't really hurt unless I prod them though.

Late 30s and no aches or pains. I wouldn't expect a healthy person to have aches and pains on a regular basis til maybe in their 60s or later.

Wait until peri meno love

The problem is when you get things come on and they don't go away. You could be dealing with several things at once.
Good health is a blessing, you can't buy it.
Bad health drags you down mentally.

I am 52, menopausal and have no aches or pains. Not all of us have them.

FluffyToesMeow · 03/03/2024 18:05

@Sususudio well done you!

This thread has sort of made me sad. Partly because of all the people who are in pain, and partly, paradoxically, because of all the people who aren't. I'm in my twenties and have had chronic pain for a few years, and will probably have it forever. I rarely get upset about it nowadays but reading about all the people in their 50s and older who consider it normal to have no pain whatsoever made me think how unfair it is. Not that I want any of you to experience this pain, of course!

ItsAllAboutTheDosh · 03/03/2024 18:08

I did nit know anyone in their 30's with aches and pains unless they already had an illness or other problem.
Aches and pains started for me at 56.

Sususudio · 03/03/2024 18:11

@CrocusSnowdrop It is very unfair, and I have no explanation for it. I wonder if there are studies on this. Pure luck probably.

I eat well and walk a lot, but other than that I do nothing. I have a sedentary job.

Well in my case it's because I have a couple of chronic illnesses, I guess some (most) people don't. I also ate healthily and was active etc before I got ill. Just goes to show there's often nothing you can do to prevent it - thanks for acknowledging this! Fed up with people telling me "well I don't have pain because I eat organic/ do yoga/ some shit" when I actually did do yoga and ate organic and still got ill.
There's a meme in the chronic illness community that goes something like A "do you have any pain?" B "just the normal amount" A "the normal amount of pain is zero". Obviously as you get older it becomes much more "normal" to have some kind of pain, but it is a good reminder of how much it affects our lives compared to healthy people.

I’m 55 and didn’t have any pain until I joined a gym 18 months ago. Now my knees are fucked and hurt after a couple of miles walking.

EndoEnd · 03/03/2024 18:44

I don't remember when I was last pain free, I'm 30 and have had daily pain since I was 14. Degenerative hip, degenerative spine and endometriosis 💁🏻‍♀️

Guttedme · 03/03/2024 19:02

Absolutely fine until I hit 40 and rather took it for granted - I want to get back there so much if I’m soon at the weight of 2015 only fair I’m back there!

I’m absolutely grateful nothing hit in the height of the pandemic I really am, recognise it could be much worse.

Lost to many good people before their time I so believe in guardian angels x

Iamtired123 · 03/03/2024 19:25

I thought so but then realised my pain isn't normal I just have hyper mobility!
