Will my kids get 'bullied' if I make them take their things out with a bum bag?

I want them to have somewhere to keep their phone, wallet and sweets. A rucksack is no good. Would a bumbag be acceptable?

If the problem is them putting bags down when playing football. They will put down their bumper bags, purses, crossbody bags and jackets with the phones in their pocket. There is no way they'll have them on their body when they're playing. Maybe if they jbly carry their phone what will stay on their body ina pocket. But bumbags will be on the grass just like backpacks.

Not too complicated. It would be put down if they are playing football.

That would happen with a bumbag as well!

Uniqlo bags are absolutely in at the mo. They're bum bags worn across body.

This. Loads of colours and unisex. My teen and friends have them. Big enough for phone, money, keys, small water bottle. Ace! So good I bought myself a Marimekko one recently.

If they are tweens, you are paying for the phone and giving them the money to put in the wallet, and they'd lose a rucksack, then yes you can say what they can take with them, where they can go, and how long they will be. If they are repeatedly losing a phone, they need to leave it home (and no, they won't die if they go to the park to play football without a phone).

I have tweens and neither has a phone (we offered a brick to my 12 year old when he was 10 and he wasn't interested and hasn't asked again, he uses his tablet to email his one friend and walks to the shops and we know which ones he goes to). They each have a small purse that goes in a pocket, or they just put cash in a coat pocket, they are allowed to buy sweets on a weekend morning and those go in the coat pockets too. If they go to the park across the road we can always go and get them if we need them. My 12 year old has some SEN but is sensible enough to ask for help if he needs it and come home if he's annoyed with another child in the park.

I have a small very light back pack I got specifically for those times when I just want to take my phone, a bottle of water, a snack. I got it from Amazon.

In my experience kids will put down any/all bags when playing football etc.

A rucksack is bigger and easier to spot.

When kids are old enough to be out and about without you, they are old enough to choose/have a say in what type of bag. Just take them to the shops and get them to pick something.

You can't control everything. They won't always follow what you want.
