Is Keir Starmer right?

Today he called the Conservatives "the political wing of the flat earth society" following Liz Truss' comments about the deep state in the US.

I am a big starmer fan, so want to sanity check my opinion, which is that the Conservatives seem to have bought into a lot of conspiracy theories recently, such as "no go" areas in Birmingham, London being "controlled by Islamists", the civil service being run by transactivists as well as Truss' comments.

Or do you think this is a smear and the Conservatives are being reasonable?

If I had a third option I'd also include a "meh - not interested" option for people

Starmer is complete slime all, say anything to get to power. And once he is those who think tories have ruined this country will really start to see how he messes it up completely

I think it's more the case that MPs are genuinely scared. Presumably that's why they've just announced a £15 million package of security measures to protect themselves. If there's no threat (as they claim) and its all a big tin foil conspiracy, why do they need massive protection suddenly?

everything you listed has evolved under this government. They haven’t solved it because they don’t know how to. Everything they have tried has failed and made things worse. They can’t negotiate, they have no diplomacy and zero leadership skills to maintain any kind of order. The only thing they are able to inspire on a societal level is fear and hatred but they can’t control it because their ideologies are fundamentally flawed and don’t take into account anyone but themselves.

The realistic choices available for who we can vote into power are limited, but I’d drag myself to the ballot box before I’d allow myself to waste my vote by not doing everything I could to unseat this lot. The Tories are done, there’s no talent to step up, there’s no leadership to pull the fringes back in with a cohesive party line. They’re a mess and that’s reflected in the rest of the country.

I suppose maybe the word 'honest' has had a makeover and now means the opposite, like so many things.

It's not even logically consistent - they claim men who say they are women are automatically women but also some men need surgery to become women (why - if just saying they're women literally makes them women?) and should be provided with this on the NHS.

Anyone who's willing to lie about up being down is not honest.
